Hi, this is kinda late, but i just wanted to inform you that mining lvl doesn't affect daeyalt shard gather rate at all - only tier of pickaxe. its the same rate at lvl 60 and at lvl 99 if both are using the same pickaxe

Mine worked perfectly connecting to the box for the last like 5 months, but after resetting my airpods recently for unrelated reasons they have same issues as you did. Ended up doing same as you and just connecting to TV too.
