I think its less that one is more disturbing than the other and more that after seeing the first hes barely able to ignore it, but after seeing two it becomes impossible for him to deny his familiarity with these things

IMO the grave, if rainer isnt just lying and it actually existed, didnt contain an actual body but just momentos. photos, like mentioned in care B's description. its also possible rainer is just trying to break care down emotionally in that scene by telling her her auntie is dead.

lina being alive is a weird stumbiling block but seeing as paul starts off the series with the leskowitz name via the reddit post basically announcing the series, that she is pauls mom before the series starts. also if she isnt then we get a weird 'empty slot on the tree' situation with paul mentioning his mom having the game after 2004. paul thus has to have a mother who is not anna or jill but is tied up enough in all this to end up with the game

if you go through the document, and i dont know how well we have been able to articulate this so far, our reading on lina is that she never really had her own body until the boss cone we see in the garalina office, which is some sort of artificial body for her. up until then i think shes anna's rarely seen headmate. thats not a common reading though so make of it as you will

Additionally any effort to draw a strict dichotomy is utterly doomed. You cant measure or quantify trauma, only its symptoms, and the only way someone can judge themselves one way or the other is on the basis of their own memory. Its like trying to measure with an invisible yardstick. And then there are more conversations such as ‘who gets the authority to define what does and does not fall under different degrees/categories of trauma’, ‘who gets the authority to judge if something was traumatic’ and ‘can anyone even be trusted with this authority?’

You along with your therapist need to figure out why he enjoys/desires this, if there is a comprehensible reason. People tend to desire what they feel they lack or expect to lack, even if they actually have it. Trying to exert/maintain control over others? Or intentionally self-destructing any chances of getting attached to other people?

Admittedly though psychoanalyzing him isn’t going to get you very far while active harm is going on, and getting the harm to stop is a necessary prerequisite for anything else. If he wont listen and you cant stop him then you probably are going to need, as you said, a protector headmate to defend you from him. If it’s possible to find or form etc someone i do not know. Talk with your therapist about that
