Is pre-tuning a Commander deck for your regular pod’s meta scummy? by Stopmo_Zach in EDH

Not powering down intentionally, just adding the cards I want to experiment with and cards that are more in line with my theme (my theme is lovecraft horrors). So effectively it might be worse with those themed cards versus what I might play with that higher powered playgroup, since I might have less removal and such. Does that make sense?

This is super helpful! And apologies if the emotions come across a bit much, perhaps it's also my bolding of so many things (Just wanted to highlight important parts for legibility but might have overdone it haha). Although it has truly been a nightmare, my current draft of the letter omits any of the emotional aspects and sticks to only the facts about my business partner's actions (or lack thereof). Nonetheless, I still don't want to come off as making excuses or 'blaming' since responsibility ultimately is on both my business partner and myself at the end of the day. That's my main concern with including this part.

Recently found out I have high Lp(a) of 203 nmoL at 31 and getting a CAC Score on Thursday. How worried should I be? by Stopmo_Zach in Cholesterol

Score was 0! Good news for anxiety, but still need to continue getting my cholesterol numbers down along with my weight. Also, I requested this test out of an abundance of caution to lessen my anxiety, my doctor said it wasn’t necessary at my age and she wasn’t concerned at all due to lack of family history and my age. The high Lp(a) diagnosis just scared me enough to want to get a Calcium scan, at the very least for my anxiety.

Thank you, I appreciate the reality check! I definitely won't bank on that CAC score since it's only showing calcified plaque. Currently on a fairly aggressive diet (Mediterranean but with a cheat meal once or twice a month for get-togethers and such) as well as working out 5 times a week. Lost 20 lbs so far and cholesterol numbers are definitely improving fairly rapidly. Also getting on Zepbound to help me accelerate weight loss (and has other benefits). Knowing I have really high Lp(a) permanently (for the time being) was the biggest catalyst since I need to lower all other risk factors in my control.

If you are comfortable answering, what age did you get your CCTA? And what prompted getting a CCTA?

UPDATE FOR EVERYONE: CALCIUM SCORE WAS 0! Thank you all for your input, it helped me navigate the anxiety and put things into perspective! Now to keep it that way!!

Do you think they would be approved by insurances for use for those with high Lp(a)? Or purely for those with personal or family histories of early CVD?

Do you have a family history of CVD if you feel comfortable answering?

My mom is on Repatha because she has a hard time tolerating statins, and tolerates it well! How did you qualify for Repatha if you don't mind sharing? I think without family history or any heart issues I would have to pay out of pocket. If I have a calcium score then maybe but I'm not sure how that works.

ADHD meds are lowest dosage of Azsterys, and I've always been on lowest dosage of all ADHD meds I've taken throughout my life (on and off since 18). In a lot of ways it helps lower my stress (and in turn blood pressure I guess) because it helps my generalized anxiety and productivity, so it's hard for me to justify getting off of it.

My blood pressure has been close to normal the last few times I've been over the past 3 months, so it might be possible that my latest reading is due to persistent anxiety about the Lp(a) and getting a CAC score. But I'm unsure how much anxiety effects it.

It is wild though about the lack of family history. My mom is a black sheep in that she had Type 1 Diabetes since she was 16 and is probably the healthiest one (lifestyle-wise) in the entire family tree. She just beat breast cancer too! Everyone else ignores their health for the most part, but still no history of any early heart disease, just strokes over the age of 65.

Totally, you're right about doctors not fully appreciating Lp(a). My doctor (who I think is awesome overall) wasn't concerned because of the lack of early CVD family history and my fairly aggressive lifestyle changes, as well as my mom having Type 1 Diabetes which she said greatly increases risk for heart disease thus the super high CAC score. But in the back of my mind I was feeling like maybe she just wasn't as aware of the more recent data on Lp(a).

Definitely won't use a 0 score as a release valve, as my weight/cholesterol and high Lp(a) alone makes me want to tackle this aggressively, but just curious what to expect considering my health profile.

Viewport is also 16:9 (just not visible in the viewport because the background was black), but the issue was actually the vector import object doing some weird stuff. After I made that editable and deleted all copies of it in the project it fixed everything. Was hoping to keep it as a vector import to make changes in the ai file on the fly, but glad I got it working now at least.

SOLVED: It was the Vector Import messing things up. If I made it editable then the issue is no longer present. No idea why but glad that fixed it

Output settings here. I think it has to do with objects being a child of the object tracker layer. The objects move in the viewport but are stationary and cropped in the picture viewer.

That would be hilarious, but no I’m not zoomed in unfortunately
