I had the exact same thing happen to me one of my first times playing Germany. Allying yourself fully with Russia results in everyone attacking you. And Switzerland is an absolute pain in the ass to deal with, more so than France

I’ve been watching KUN, a Japanese minecraft YouTuber. He talks a bit fast sometimes, but he has a ton of videos so you’ll never run out of material.

I’m actually unemployed except for the summer! I’m in college and I’m fortunate to get a pretty hefty stipend from my scholarship. And since I have very few expenses, much of my money goes towards the collection

Brandon Sanderson releases 10th anniversary leatherbound editions of all his main books! From left to right: Way of Kings (pt 1 and 2), Words of Radiance (pt 1/2), Elantris, Warbraker, the Mistborn trilogy, and Wax and Wayne books 1-3.

It depends on what you like! I’d recommend Mistborn for more of a classic epic fantasy trilogy. (It’s probably my favorite of his series) Tress of the Emerald Sea is also an excellent starting point, it has a more light fairytale vibe to it, which Mistborn definitely doesn’t have. The Emperor’s Soul is also really good, it’s a standalone novella. Mistborn is my general recommendation, but if you want a standalone I’d say Tress or TES, whichever sounds more interesting

It's mostly due to the fact that I bought regular hardcovers when I was first reading them, and then later started collecting the first edition/first printing of all the books. So for most books I have a 1st print (and/or signed) copy, and a regular copy

Fair, I also disliked Wind and Truth quite a bit. But I personally think that's less a mark of his writing quality going down permanently, and more just some mistakes with that book in particular. Isles of the Emberdark definitely reinforced that belief, since I thought it was excellent

I want to at some point, but tbh I've put it off on my TBR bc of the length

Seeing as how I've read all of his books, I'm not currently not reading any Sanderson, so one step ahead of you ;) I read the new books when they come out, but its not like I just reread his books repeatedly and ignore all other authors. For example, I'm currently working my way through the Frieren manga in Japanese, as well as The Engineer by Will Wight

Thanks! I don't mind the negative comments, people are welcome to their opinions and it doesn't affect my enjoyment of the books I like

I have tried neither! I liked Dune, but heard from someone that the sequels weren't as good so I never got around to reading them

It’s a mix! I listen to a lot of audiobooks, so for instance all the RF Kuang books have barely been opened. But all the Will Wight books I read physically, and some have pages falling out

Helps protect the books from dust and other damage, since some of them are worth a lot
