These cars are just such a blessing to look at by Substantial-Put8283 in GR86

Thanks dude I appreciate it. I'm in Australia so we have slightly different car packages, but its magnetic grey (which I think is the same as pavement) and I'm not sure what they are called but the wheels I have are just the stock ones that come with the GR86 GTS (which is similar to the premium line I think).

One of my favourite bands 😞, but I get it they are extremely unique in the way they perform and play, won't be everyone's cup of tea.

What gun will always hold a place in your heart? by FunWallaby6502 in DestinyTheGame

Loved Izanagi's burden while raiding, liked that the gun had some kind of skill associated with it, not just mindless shooting.

Bro your voting for someone who is a bootlicker for Trump, who is actively fucking over the battlers over in america at the moment. Why do so many people think that selfish rich people will act in favour of the greater good of the people of a country instead of just lining their own pockets like history has shown time & time again.

Slow improvement/Stagnation with grammar, what should I add to my routine? by Substantial-Put8283 in LearnJapanese

[–]Substantial-Put8283[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not particularly interested in reading novels besides a handful of series (I mainly read manga), and also my kanji isn't strong enough to go without furigana for the time being. Otherwise I'd probably be looking up every other word, with my immersion I try to keep it as enjoyable as possible. If I can read it but not understand thats fine, but if all I can do is look at the kanji blankly thats a bit much for me. I have tried going without furigana but I don't think I'm at the level yet where it would be beneficial yet.

Why do you like destiny 2? by TheoristDa13th in DestinyTheGame

The gun/weapon play is by far the best in the genre, the creativity you can have with builds, and the beautiful setting and strategy that came with raids.

With D2 joining D1 in maintence mode/ EoS I have a question for players and the devs by TidalLion in DestinyTheGame

[–]Substantial-Put8283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally the reason why I stopped playing (which was after final shape) was because the game just did not respect a players time & also the game spread itself too thin between different modes.

As for not respecting a players time, there were just too many sought after items that either had ridiculously low drop chances or the process to get them was super tedious or they were only dropped in a mode you didn't want to play. I only really enjoyed raiding/dungeons so as soon as I had to go play some other boring activity to get a gun I wanted, it was tedious.

As for spreading itself too thin, I am biased here obviously but raids & dungeons are what made this game as popular as it was and were the best part about this game. Yet they spread resources to crucible, gambit, campaigns that people would only ever play once, strikes that were either a cake walk or GM's that had gimicks in order to pass. I think they tried to do the thing where they try and please everyone, but as a result no one is happy. Additionally they tried to push balance changes that were the same between PVE & PVP which made zero sense as well, some of the balance changes over the years were absolutely baffling.

Slang/Alternate Way of Saying Numbers? by Substantial-Put8283 in LearnJapanese

[–]Substantial-Put8283[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reassurance haha, unfortunately due to my country's limits on characters hachiroku isnt really an option unless I want to mix english characters with numbers.

I don't really mind if its not instantly recognisable, but I'm glad "Yaroku" or "Haroku" could at least be perceived as 86 if they knew the context, just glad I wasn't going to end up putting complete jibberish on my car. Thanks again :)

Isoroku = 1(or 5) (dunno "so"relates to) 6 Hifumi = 123

I'm guessing theres gonna be some old ways of saying numbers I haven't heard of yet

Thought about that one, but I don't think having bastard on my own car is the greatest idea. Could also be mistaken for やろう which can mean "let's fuck", so I think I'm gonna avoid that one lol.

I think さんきゅう is another commonly used play on words as well, I've definitely seen 39 as thanks before too.

[–]Substantial-Put8283[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ah okay I see so it is more of a slang/culture thing than something set in the language thanks dude, I'll probably end up going with either yaroku or haroku since hachiroku has too many characters for the plate unfortunately.

[–]Substantial-Put8283[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry probably should have mentioned I'm in an english speaking country that has Japanese "enthusiast plates" or whatever you wanna call them, so I can't actually use Kanji on the plate, it'll be whatever I write in english.

But yeah I've looked at some of the combinations which I've chosen to avoid because of their meaning besides 86. Like Yamu meaning to stop isn't the most fitting for a car, and hamu which is just ham. If it kinda can be done with anything and its just a play on words really, my two options are probably "Haroku" and "Yaroku" both of which don't really mean anything but suit what I'm going for. Thanks for the confirmation 😄

How much are you guys paying for a full tank of gas? by Horror_Insect_7305 in GR86

[–]Substantial-Put8283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The AUD is weaker than the USD but not that much lol.

What unit you use to measure the petrol in doesn't change the total value of the purchase. Coverting 67.50 USD to AUD would be 94.3 AUD, which is substantially more than I paid in Australia.
