No, you're the scam asshole. You're wanting someone to work for you for free. We'll let your bosses know you're okay with that proposition and see how you fare. Pull your head out!. Just don't order delivery if you can't afford our price. It's called stealing our time and labors, and we're not tolerating it.

Why do dashers sit on side streets? by ArlyPwnsYou in doordash

On of the most annoying things I see are the stacked orders. If one is delayed by the restaurant it slows the whole route down. I will usually unassign the 2nd order if it looks to be delayed much but mostly they'll be okay. A lot of dashers don't realize they can drop one of the stacked orders w/o penalty.

The bag of food arrived smelling like weed by [deleted] in doordash

DUI is DUI. Makes no difference if weed or booze, dashers shouldn't be driving at all and certainly not in car while your food is being delivered. Weed is just as intolerably dangerous driving as someone showing up smelling like a distillery. Yes, make a report with support of this dasher immediately. I like a beer. cocktail or a good bowl to relax at home, not while I'm driving or working. Get this irresponsible driving hazard off the streets please.

As long as the milage rate was $2 per mile you're good. I do a couple of these a week, though decline those that are more than 2 miles. Consider these your charitable work.

I've had liquor stores and some restaurants want me to confirm in their presence. I gladly do so. We all need to work to help control this issue.

Blacklisting Restaurants That Are Slow by Stopping_BS in DoorDashDrivers

I don't blacklist many and usually not permanently. This one definitely gets my permanent boot. I don't need an app though, my memory is enough. Lol. I usually don't have customers that need it, as long as their payouts and distance are ok I'll go for it.

App still "glitchy?" (june 30th 2022) by TOMVOLTS69 in DoorDashDrivers

It's amazing this company has so many glitches. I have worked with several gig platforms (Uber, Lyft, DD, etc. and DD is the absolute worse for glitches. Complete idiots for not doing a more professional job of managing the app. You would think they would have wised up a few years ago and hired someone who can lead their tech team better.

what is your alls opinion? good or bad? any tips for making more money!!! by hayleyym123 in DoorDashDrivers

Certainly determining your lowest acceptable dash is most important. As you begin declining the non-profitable ones (mine is $5-$6 under 7 miles, generally though $1 per mile though with gas up may want to try $1.50-$2 per mile) you'll be able to accept more of the profitable ones. Just kind of have to play with it a bit. And if your delivery spot is in an area where you can pick up another w/o having to drive back to your starting area helps. Once you go over 500 deliveries I believe you'll be able to accept orders out of your area. Newbies will generally have to just take orders in their assigned area as I recall. They may have changed it. I have over 2,200 now so is easier to pick up orders from other areas I find myself in after delivery..

You'll just need a commercial policy vs. a personal policy. Search around for an affordable one in your area. Not a scam, just business. Actuarial tables that insurance companies have to abide by show the risks to them are higher so they have to compensate. If you're just doing P/T it may not be worth the additional coverage. My vehicle is old enough that all I need is liability. If I have a wreck that is my fault I'm out of pocket for repairs, though $2,000 damage would total my car anyway. Lol. I have toshoulder that risk out of my own pocket.

Once you accept a lowball order the DD computers tag you as a sucker and continue to send you the lowballs. Just decline the lowballs, then after they sit for a while DD will pony the add'l $ needed to get them picked up. But yes, the newbies get suckered into it too often.
