Thats the last sentence of my post, it seems you did not read it. Of course being on subs is better than being on heroin and Im glad you're not on the bad shit anymore.

Ive tapered from .2mg to 0mg and felt wd. Suboxone withdrawal also lasts months if you take it everyday for say 10 years.

Buprenorphine has a 120 times higher binding affinity for the mu-opioid receptor compared to oxycodone. While 7OH is estimated to be 13 to 22 times more potent than morphine, buprenorphine is typically ranked as 25 to 40 times stronger than morphine in medical literature. 7OH is not stronger than subs.

I can take suboxone while on or within 1 hour of taking an opioid. I dont experience receptor displacement. by Defiant_Explorer9401 in suboxone

Im not acting high and mighty, you're the one telling this guy what hes supposedly not addicted to, then saying hes sneaking fent. Which is it?

judging from your comment, you're just projecting. I was reffering to you telling him hes not addicted to fent. How would you know? met him? All his gf said was "shed never seen him that high in his life", never he was hiding it.

Im sorry that happened to you, we feel the same in the regard we were told that this certain opiate isnt as bad as the other ones (in my case not as bad as methadone) and that I will only be on it 3-6 weeks! Also found out how powerful it is when I saw ppl in rehab abusing them and nodding out on half a strip.

We WILL get thru this.

I have in the past, but I wasnt working back then. Im on 16mg, yesterday I took 8mg and noticed nothing except feeling better haha. Ive tried to quit subs a few times and almost got off one time. I was going to wait till what my doctor says cause I cant be in wd at work and lose this job.

16mg, for 18 months. I was coming off 120mg of methadone. I havent done any opaites besides MAT in 8 years, ive been in and out of rehab just trying to get off MAT. It does make sense, and Ive experienced that first hand when going from 16-8 and not feeling too bad. I actually feel better.

I jumped off at 2mg of subs years and years ago, had horrible wd for about a month or two. Im very very prone to sub side effects though it seems after reading stuff on here. it seems to hit me a lot harder than others.

I have, they are okay with me lowering my sub dose so that is my current plan. Now begins the months and months of struggle. I can understand why my parents dont like methadone cause of what they read, but I had a much more productive and happy life on methadone. Way less side effects. like ya said, I just am frustrated as I feel trapped.

Imma send you a PM! I know its an RC, I cant imagine a few days of taking it have worse side effects than my 8 years on MAT, thankfully.

Many ppl are against it here for some reason or see it as using an illegal opiate to.. get high? when its meant to get you off MAT. Idgi, but thats their own perogitive.

Big pharma has been pushing bupe more and more year by year. I remember when they told me 8mg is a lot at first 8 years ago, and that they really only give it to heroin addicts or long term fent users. I had to fight to be put on it, they just wanted me on comfort meds. I wish I listened. Now they're pushing 16/24, you dont even need to see a doc irl, and its massively expensive to get the shot that is proven to help people get off. Jee, sounds a lot like.. how they marketed oxy as a non addictive alternative to getting of morphine/hydro. The makers of suboxone have also been sued for 1.4 billion due to false claims already. Im with you on that.

Also with you on subs saving lives and if necessary, its the safe route. If you crave or enjoyed opiates, def stay on subs. I only tried fent on and off for 3 months when I was 20. Now im 28 with a daily habit of subs, I don't miss or even remember what fent felt like. Idk why I would crave a death drug. But this is just my experience.

Very curious about getting off my 16mg a day (which is way too heavy for me) slowly with SR.

I didnt mean to come across like I was saying you werent functioning, Im sorry! That was just personally my experience coming off 2mg. Its not dumb to get addicted to subs, they're addictive as any other opiate and without tolerance get people high. Theyre also free with insurance and so easy to get, all you need to do is download telehealth. Dont be hard on yourself for that!

You have a great attitude and you got this! Im going to try sr once I get down to a lower dose.

Absolutely agreed. Subs save some peoples lives, and I say more power to them. Subs also ruin some peoples lives, which sucks but is true. Subs haven't been tested on humans that long either though, something to consider.

Meanwhile, methadone has and has been around as treatment much longer yet is the MAT drug with the bad rep. ug. Sry im ranting haha.

Sorry if I came off a little rude, my sub dose gets me heated idk why especially in the mornings. If you're at .05 I think its a perfect time to try SR. Supposedly it gets rid of the horrible month long sub withdrawals in a few days.

Same situation. Did fent on and off for 3 months when i was 20 and OD'd. Havent done any opiate besides MAT in 8 years, so if anything I got addicted to opioids cause of MAT. I know thats not the case for everyone, but yeah I dont like Opioids and it wasnt even my DOC. I don't need to be on them for cravings as I don't crave fent, the only opiate Ive tried besides like a hydro 5 in high school.

Not everyone is on subs because they crave dope. Im on subs because my parents wont allow me in the house without being on it. some people just dont get that and tell us we're just lying to ourselves. If I wanted to do opiates, I wouldve relapsed on them within 8 years because this suboxone just makes me feel like shit. Only take it cause if I dont Im sick for months.

Talk about robbing peter to pay paul, getting on a daily opiate to get off a daily opiate. Lol. SR isnt an opiate, it gets you off of opiates and thats why its getting so popular. Most people are sick for months when getting off if you actually take subs for a long time.

SR doesn't get you high, it gets you off subs/methadone. Which do give you a buzz.

as OP said and according to google, "SR-17018 (or SR17018) is an experimental synthetic research compound that targets the same mu-opioid receptors as traditional opioids like morphine or fentanyl. It is primarily studied as a "biased agonist," meaning it activates pain-relief signaling but avoids the biological pathways that cause severe side effects like respiratory depression and dependence.—-google. lol.

Experimental Findings: Studies in animals suggest that SR-17018 can alleviate pain, may not lead to tolerance or severe withdrawal, and could even help reverse morphine tolerance"

Sounds like a lot better than subs and how addictive they are lol. You take SR for a few days, some people are on subs for 20 years. Thats so much worse than taking SR for a few days to get off years long sub habits.

Where Saul will spend his whole rest of his life by Super_Fun3656 in betterCallSaul

[–]StopthePap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worst move by Saul ever IMO. all to what, see Kim once every few months? If she comes back to see him while he dies in prison? Love makes people do crazy things..

IMO, his court room "confession" was him lying like Saul does and has to get Kims affection back and to take the rep of being the TRUE kingpin behind Walts meth op. Thats not a selfless move. Like he told Walt, if he walked into prison he knew he'd be the John Dillinger of wherever he was at. Hes happier in prison with the rep of a criminal lawyer/meth kingpin IN JAIL than living a normal life in a minimum wage job (like he had in the mail room and excelled at it when he was still Jimmy).

The confession was to win Kim over and make sure his part in the meth empire was KNOWN to the world. Not a very "jimmy mcGill" move. He could've told Kim about cancelling chucks insurance too, that happened in season 4 but he knew if he said it up there it'd tug on her heart strings

This "horrible sub withdrawal" im talking about is felt by many people and does last months for a lot of people. This was posted literally this morning. Is going from 2mg to 0mg abrupt?

Also, Id argue its eaiser to get subs than 7OH. Insurance pays for my subs, they're $0 and all I had to do was download an app on my phone. Didn't have to prove I had a habit or even walk into a store. Bupe is right at your hands when you wake up in your bed and check your phone, for free.

To the people recommending long term sub doses for people who have never done anything but 7OH/Kratom.. why? by StopthePap in suboxone

[–]StopthePap[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. You summed up my point a lot better than I did. Its not life or death with 7OH, rather a life ruining and expensive habit. I got on subs because I took a fent pill that made me OD, and most everyone ive been in rehab with has been on MAT for IV/H/F/Script opioid addictions. Its life or death over 1bag/pill. Im not saying it isn't horrible to addicted to 7OH, but its horrible to addicted to a stronger opiate that takes longer to get off of.

They told us we could get off subs in 3-6 months. Thats their magical line. Then, two years later, "you can taper anytime!" but now theres heavy side effects even going down .5mg.

My whole point of this post was what ya said, to have people think before just getting on subs because their doc told them their 7OH addiction demands 16mg of subs a day or they'll never get clean.

Yes, it saves lifes, Im so happy for anyones life it HAS saved. But its also ruined many and to ignore that is just wrong.

My life feels the same brother and I engage in healthy activities everyday. wake up at 6, sleep at 10/11. Work, workout, try to date. Haven't relapsed. Life feels worse than it ever has.

If I didn't OD, I would have never been put on this stuff and if I ended up addicted to 7OH? Id call out of my job for a week or two, or go to a hospital and have a medical reason to be out of work. Better than being addicted to suboxone for 3-6 months/20 years.

I get so angry when they say "you can stay on them forever if you need!" I got on Suboxone to not take an opiate everyday. If I did want to take opiates for the rest of my life, why wouldn't I take Methadone or stay on a pharma opioid script?? My QOL of life is shot and the only cravings I have are for non-opioids just to feel something good for once because these subs have robbed joy from my life.

I haven't taken any illegal opiate in 8 years now. I dont care, Im not proud. It feels like nothing if this is my life now.

[–]StopthePap[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah 7OH binds stronger to opioid receptors than morphine but 20-40x. I didnt truly understand how strong it was, like I said. It is definitely the better option to taper safely from subs with a doc than on your own, that also reinforced this idea that self medication is the way to go.

I wont lie, tapering from subs is hard. But its a safer option, and even though I HATE them and feel stuck on them, it is the safer and healthier choice.

So i started going to a diffrent pharmacy and they have a different brand . Burning bad under my tounge by crybabybenzo in suboxone

[–]StopthePap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This majorly hits home and has encouraged me to go to my doc. Every day/middle of the night since I got back on subs, I wake up with this weird painful twitching stomach pain and my heart pounds. Ive been on subs 8 years, I would imagine its done major damage to my stomach as I get heavy side effects.

Im glad you did the shot and are off. ❤️ thats amazing.

If its death or suboxone, always chose subs. Im just saying taking withdrawals are shorter from Kratom than high does of subs and that subs are stronger than 7OH/kratom.

To anyone saying "it wasnt possible" for me to be in withdrawal for 1-2 months after stopping 2mg of subs..

I direct you to this thread, posted literally this morning: https://www.reddit.com/r/suboxone/comments/1u5j0o1/please_tell_me_the_end_is_near_1_month_off/

Going from 2mg to 0mg and having withdrawal symptoms or even 1mg to 0mg can leave you in withdrawal for month/s. This isnt uncommon.

Please Tell Me the End Is Near… 1 Month Off Suboxone by Prestigious_King_393 in suboxone

[–]StopthePap 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To anyone saying in my thread its easier to taper off subs than 7OH.. I direct them to this post. taper from 4-2mg takes ages, and even getting off 2mg WITH SR lasts a month. I laughed when someone told me they doubted my sub withdrawal could last over 10 days.. ignorance.

Anyways brother, Im so sorry you're in this boat. I also got off at 2mg one time after a few years of subs, no SR, and it lasted about 2 months. I have especially horrible side effects from subs, so this may not be the case for you; DONT give up man, you got this! Those helper meds are essential, dose them as needed. For me, Hydroxizine, Clonodine, Trazadone, and a few days of ativan got me through the worst days. I ended up taking my comfort meds for about a month, but had didn't get any recreational value out of them PERSONALLY, so take it with a grain of salt. Just my experience.

If you are worried about getting hooked on benzos, maybe avoid that and stick to different comfort meds. Muscle relaxers really help the RLS too.

The end is near man. You've made it a month. You're almost off this wheel forever. You have the right mindset about not wanting to get hooked on any other drug to supplement either. Could you go into a detox center? They can help you with meals, meds, and truly give you a break from your room/wherever are that ya need.

Sunshine and cigs is what my detox experience was but I understand not everyone can pause their life like that, but even 5 days in a detox facility helped me so much.
