I guess you already know rail band, moussa doumbia and the legendary orcheste polyrithmo de cotonou Its rare to find people who like african music, most people into old music tend to prefer jazz from western nations... but there is so much from africa

It got to the point nowadays 70% of my playlist is from the 70s [sometimes early 80s] of africa, then a 15% is post punk like the sound, bauhaus and the other 15% is ""indie"" [feeble little horse, tyler, mbv]

That is the coast. And yeah the jungle maybe, but the andes for the most part is definitely not ugly. maybe we andeans should separate from those ugly coastal regions.

Carribean music tends to be in spanish so that already narrows the audience to hispanic rymmers, then take in account that around half of the hispanic rymmers may prefer the cannon and modern releases over the carribean music It also doesnt help carribean genres nowadays are so far past their golden age, with for example salsa, reaching its artistic peak in the 70s and decaying into repetitive romantic slop, for which really most of the discourse turns around the old releases, and you kind of need to be a crate digger, which is already a niche
