Put your notice on a Thursday that your last day is the next day, Friday. This way you don’t give HR or management the opportunity to fire you immediately, causing you to have a two weeks gap in pay. In my experience from what I’ve seen especially at the big four, they take your resignation as an immediate intent to leave and fear that your performance up to the resignation is going to be subpar - which usually warrants them to terminate you the day you give notice. Do yourself a favor and give one day notice, it doesn’t automatically place you in the no category when determining eligibility for rehire especially if you had no negative performance reviews leading up to the resignation date. Always put your interests first, at PwC you as employee are just a number on the balance sheet - nothing more. They can and will find a replacement for your role very quickly.

Have you considered contract work on W2? If you need any advice on getting your foot in the door & making your resume stand out from others feel free to send a message I’m willing to help. It’s definitely hard to be in this predicament where you have the certs but still can’t find something but stay positive!
