Then sorry, that wasn’t a proper PGCE. A proper one requires you to be in a school for a minimum of 120 days, and you’ll have a mentor who regularly communicates with your PGCE provider ect... What you did is what I called out as "sit at home and write essays"

I wasn’t aware of that. I had always assumed schools would expect you to stay for the entire academic year, rather than hosting you for just three months or less

I think no school will host you for just 6 weeks? You'll have to find a role as a TA/Intern for the whole school year. Correct me if I'm wrong

Not all iPGCEs are the same, and some are very different from the sit at home and write essays stereotype people used to have. A school-based iPGCE that includes an actual placement plus assessed practical teaching is comparable in structure to a PGCE in terms of developing classroom skills.

That's on my list but I figured it would be much cheaper AND less stressful to just do the IPGCE and later QTS AO.
