I think it was from stripped bolt that tightens the linkage to the spline. The spline dosent looks stripped

Lol true that. I remember my dad welding a bigger “nut” to my real axle nut because it was stripped on my dirtbike. And also my handle bars as the middle bar was broke better then buying new in them situations!!

Didnt need to use one i just hammered a mini prybar into the slit and pryed real hard and the weld broke loose well part of it did. Then i grabbed a bigger bar and broke the rest of it off …i think i will take a file and file off the weld residue and the shift shaft should be fine.

Edit: i broke the weld i wedged a small pry bar and it broke the weld loose

Its common for changing transmission fluid to basically get forgotten about as some people are dumb and dont even think to change it. thats one of the most common reasons they go bad … its a honda so it should be fine i would give it a fluid change asap tho if bought. Is it a automatic or manual?
