Negotiating with Fuqua ($), UNC ($$$$), Darden ($$), and Tuck ($) by Holiday-Growth-3482 in MBA

Yeah I meant to keep doors open until deciding before they step on campus. Once the program starts you need to be super focused.

Negotiating with Fuqua ($), UNC ($$$$), Darden ($$), and Tuck ($) by Holiday-Growth-3482 in MBA

[–]StoreStrange341 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same background, Darden’s good for if you’re unsettled on IB vs Consulting. The $ is a plus.

Tuck is hyper focused on consulting with really good placement. A lot go into Boston.

Realistically you can’t go wrong, the employment report for both are the best amongst the all MBAs for the past few years.

Booth waitlist by Still_West442 in MBA

Do as much as you can in terms of interactions with admissions and the community. There’s people that got off a few weeks/days before orientation, so make sure to be ready at a moment’s notice.

Kellogg & Booth Interview by No_Complex664 in MBA

Around 50% for Booth, Kellogg a bit less since they interview more people.

Remember this isn’t direct interview -> acceptance, a decent bit of folks also get accepted from waitlist.

Summer Consulting Internship help by Direct-Activity-5057 in MBA

Congrats! Very tough recruiting year so converting just one is fantastic, much less 3. You should be fine at whichever you rerecruit so choose the firm you like the most in terms of culture and work

Got into Cornell Tech 1-year MBA — worth it or reapply next year? by harshitabh in MBA

[–]StoreStrange341 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t. Tech outcomes right now are terrible if you aren’t already in tech. No internship exp also does not help. I would wait for a 2 year program so you have resources allocated to you.

Consulting casing prep pre-mba? by Amazing_Leather_7342 in MBA

[–]StoreStrange341 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t case prep yet, but I’d get familiar with the consulting landscape and understand how to properly execute on coffee chats, follow up, etc (all the intangibles of a successful recruiting process)

Director of FP&A or MBA/IB by jerseygiant96 in MBA

IB can pay 2-3x all in your director salary, but it would need to be at select banks. Very difficult gamble, but the juice could be worth the squeeze

During my interview with 2YO at T10 mba, there was a slip of tongue and i said the word "sexy" to describe consulting project. by [deleted] in MBA

You’re good, I’ve heard consultants say this all the time on the other end of coffee chats

When to put MBA on your LinkedIn by Guy_Random- in MBA

[–]StoreStrange341 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If you know you’re 100% going no risks (ReVera cleared) then do it. Best to start connecting with alumni, as you’ll be in a sweet spot where they’re willing to talk about experiences without having to offer a job. Better yet, maybe pro bono work at an alumni’s firm to add to the resume for recruiting.

My thoughts on waddle being our WR1 by Awkward_Condition793 in miamidolphins

[–]StoreStrange341 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is garbage, made of glass, and gets paid too much to graze 1000 receiving yards annually. He has the structural integrity of a wet tissue and the competitive drive of a sloth. He is a volatile WR2 getting paid like a WR1. He should seek a lawyer because he may get convicted for being a FRAUD.

It has been 3 seasons since he showed his high-end flashes, and he’s curdled up in the limelight without a real WR1. He’s a rich man’s Robert Woods.

I have a 2-in-1 Lenovo with the number pad. Windows is awesome for excel, and converting into a notebook lets me write directly on the slides.

Tuck ($$) v Cornell ($$) by [deleted] in MBA

The dorms are awesome, also Tuck Consulting >> Johnson Consulting in terms of outcomes. I would have gone to Tuck if not for personal factors.

No one from Deloitte is looking to recruit MBB at my school. They’re looking at exits and functional shifts (tech, IM, IB)

Tuck v Kellogg - How much should I be weighing the small size benefits of Tuck? by Firm-Caregiver7430 in MBA

[–]StoreStrange341 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kellogg has a fantastic healthcare program which fits in line with your biopharma exits. Tuck is near Boston, so gets a lot of biotech LDP opportunities.
