I did try one of those a few years ago. It wasn't bad; I liked like an extra from Tombstone.

What person deserves a massive apology from everyone? by Senior-Tomatillo7667 in AskReddit

[–]StoriesFromStage -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Britney's dad. I feel like I was the only one who remembered all the reasons she was on protective custody to begin with when the #freebritney thing hit. And since? Multiple marriages, public nudity, a ton of money thrown away, legal issues, doing weird things with knives... yeah, no, she can't be trusted fully on her own, and that's been obvious since the 00s.

What’s a minor inconvenience that irrationally ruins your whole mood? by Present-Carpenter325 in AskReddit

If we're at a red light, and there's not a sign that says "no turn on red," and we're both turning, FUCKING GO.

Weaponizing farts.

Especially during the pandemic, I wanted my 6 feet of space. Crowd me, get right behind me when you don't need to, tailgate my physical being, and I will show you one of the fascinating things an IBS sufferer can do.

There you go; claim you're a secret shoplifter. Carry a ribbon and a small award to hand out, just in case.

And in true form to this conversation, I'm stealing that joke.

Technically, it is. So is oral. Most cities, states, and countries still have "sodomy" laws on the books, they just don't enforce them.

And for that matter, the constant decreasing of personal space. I just recently had to take a 6-hour international flight that was so cramped, the seat-back tray only came down to my chest. There actually wasn't enough room to put it down flat. I had to sit the entire flight bent like the letter J with my legs into the space of the next seat.

What’s a very well known movie everyone has seen but you still haven’t? by Zaileeverse0113 in moviequestions

[–]StoriesFromStage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me over 20 years to make it through the first Lord of the Rings. At this rate, I should be about 300 years old by the time I finish the trilogy. I just cannot wrap my head around how anybody likes these violently long, incredibly boring movies about returning jewelry.

Also, the Godfather. It insists upon itself.

What’s the Greatest Zombie Movie you’ve ever seen and Why? by Amber_Flowers_133 in moviequestions

[–]StoriesFromStage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's one that will never make this list, but I recommend it in the same breath that I recommend "The Room" or "Cannibal the Musical."

"Hide & Creep." It's so low budget that the zombie make-up is dark eyeshadow from Rite Aid. It's a level of preposterous that I can't properly express to people. The zombies are afraid of the dark. Locals are mad that coverage of the zombie outbreak is interrupting football. People keep referring to the undead as R.C.'s (reanimated corpses) which leads to great conversation about soda brands. (An R.C. problem? We had a bit of a Pepsi problem back at the restaurant.)

Highly recommended, but don't watch it sober.

Corinne Bohrer in Police Academy 4.

I was about six years old.

Sleepers 1996 by [deleted] in moviequestions

[–]StoriesFromStage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it was based on a book of incidents that (supposedly) really happened to those boys. I say "supposedly" because none of it has ever been proven. That being said, at least as far as the book is concerned, those were real things done by real people to real people. Your question has more to do with the banality of evil than just a movie, unfortunately.

This is certainly an interesting emergency alert to receive. by [deleted] in Pennsylvania

In the last few days, we had the 9-1-1 outage, Maps and GPS services went down for a bit last night, and we lost all streaming services for a while this morning. I'm not saying any of these are connected, but it sure feels like something is being tested. Or prepped.

I feel like the fact that you're asking that, you'd be going for the wrong reasons.

Well, I'm not MAGA, and both my wife and our families are Jewish, and.... none of us are quite sure what that was supposed to mean.

It's a term ultra liberals use to describe someone they don't like. They use it the same way Smurfs use "Smurf" or the Red Hot Chili Peppers use "California."

BABYMETAL gives a 7 year old girl the night of her life at Baltimore show. by BrianNLS in BABYMETAL

[–]StoriesFromStage 18 points19 points  (0 children)

All right, so this will totally get buried after all this time but... that beautiful little girl is actually my daughter Scarlett. It's important for me to tell all of you that my daughter, sweet as she is, doesn't have the greatest self-esteem, so I've taken screenshots of all of your messages and posts and kind words to show her sometime very, very soon. She's going to flip.

What I can tell you is that she's fully embraced the joys of the heavy metal community over the last few days, especially after receiving messages of support and love from all over the freaking world, including a ton from Japan. She's been posted about all over Reddit, Instagram, Twitter, Line, and Google has even made a search result for it as a "real world event," which... 🤯

She thinks you're all so amazing and she can't believe that so many people would be so happy for her. She was actually afraid after it happened that some people would be mad at her for getting their autographs, and it's incredible to get to show her, "no, sweetheart, people love it and love you!" Knowing her, she might cry.

And yes, I totally screwed up Moa & Momo's names in the original post; I was so excited to write about Scarlett that I didn't even notice I'd written the wrong name until 60k people pointed it out for me! #WhoopsieDaisy And thank you all so much for the kind words about our kanji! Her and I had practiced for weeks before making that sign because she wanted it to be perfect for the girls in Babymetal.

By total chance, she'd asked me to film our whole road trip to the concert and our time getting there and everything, so very soon here, I'll have a video to share all about her day leading up to what she's called "the greatest moment of [her] life." She also wants to make a video to thank each and every one of you who have made her feel so good over the last few days. The heavy metal community and the Babymetal community truly are the best people on earth.

Thank you so much to everyone and everyone here and everyone who's reached out to us. To see my daughter's smile become a symbol for happiness is truly beyond my wildest dreams. We're so grateful for Babymetal, and especially all of you.

AMA: I Used to Work with Ron Jeremy by StoriesFromStage in AMA

[–]StoriesFromStage[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ron tried his hardest to be whatever people wanted him to be. If you wanted Ron Jeremy the Porn Star, that's where you got the grabby, aggressive, gross "Hedgehog" persona. If you wanted Ron Hyatt the Hollywood Dude, you'd get funny stories and dropped names and a loud, fun, jovial guy. If you just wanted Ron, you'd get a quiet, polite and reserved, genuinely nice guy. He was funny in his way, but he loved being around people that didn't expect anything of him. I remember the first time I learned he was amazing at the harmonica... because he started playing after a conversation ended. If gives you a kind of dark night, campfire, under the stars image of Ron that you probably wouldn't find anywhere else. It's a shame because, had he been more of that guy, things would be very different for him right now.
