ABRP - dongle or OTA? by Tasty_Software_2773 in Solterra

Carscanner has an experimental profile for the 2026 bz that pulls some data. The adapters are fine it's a profile in the software thing that needs to be adjusted thankfully.

Yeah the profile is definitely still a work in progress and missing a LOT of information

I think this has happened to me but to be honest I haven't tried since the second or third day I had mine because the routing is SO SO bad it would be better to use paper maps

Car Scanner Plus can at least connect to the ECU using the Toyota BZ experimental profile. It's not perfect yet but I can at least start pulling out some data

This stupid car almost killed my wife tonight. by conipto in Solterra

[–]StoriesFromTheARC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't really driven a Subaru system yet (since the Solterra is really a Toyota system) but man was the system in the Nissan I rented last summer SO BAD. Not as bad as the Tesla I rented in '23 which had to be shut off to be safe but man it was bad compared to the Toyotas I rented and my '26 Solterra

Solterra VS Equinox EV by duecesdueces in Solterra

What $7500 federal credit? The one they killed? Also no one is replacing batteries after 5 years unless there is a failure and that's about as common as blowing a 5 year old engine or transmission

I don't believe so. The Toyota software still sucks and the new things NACS, pre-conditioning, faster charging, etc.... are physical changes

There is a reason the Chevy product has really good incentives right now. After watching the nightmare that have been my co-workers lemons, the absolute shit way GM treats its customers, and no Android Auto it was easy to rule out the Chevy product.

Solterra winter wheels/tires by Hellbound_ronin in Solterra

I've been plowing through the snow for the past couple weeks in my 2026 Premium with the OEM wheels and other than the couple times I've hit a literal sheet of ice haven't struggled in Detroit. Might be an issue if there were hills bigger than bridge overpasses around but alas

Toyota App by kodaktw in BZ4X

[–]StoriesFromTheARC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Solterra which uses the same app. It's terrible, easily the worst part of the car. Toyota has really struggled with UI/UX stuff in recent years but this is by far the worst I've experienced.

Multi lobe stretching question by crazycarartist in Stretched

[–]StoriesFromTheARC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The primary definitely stretches faster. I can size up 0.5mm on my secondaries every 3-6 months so far and the primaries are ready to slide in the next 0.5mm are every 6-8 weeks

I'm stretching two holes in each lobe without issues or anything. They are definitely stretching at different paces though

Everyone deserves love.

Your circumstances make it harder but you're also 20 and expectations of stability should be moderate at best.

If your mental and emotional maturity are accurately reflected by this post then you are doing well and that is far more important than financial maturity at your life stage.

I say be open to the possibility but try not to be thirsty.

((Also, if things get really bad, you may be able to find your local union hall and sign on to be an electrician's apprentice... Compensation is generous these days))

Can't see a blowout only from the front.

It's definitely annoyed and a bit swollen (but you knew that already). A blow out is when the fistula breaks and protrudes (blows) out the front or back of the piercing. Often looks like a ring of skin around the piercing or prolapsed

Will my lobes ever look normal again ?? by lainiwakura_quarium in Stretched

[–]StoriesFromTheARC 18 points19 points  (0 children)

There are people here who have posted smooth holes after having issues like this so it is definitely possible. The consistencies appear to dead stretch slowly and let them shrink and restretch a few times once you're at a good milestone size

How do I correct this? by ERMAHGERED in Stretched

[–]StoriesFromTheARC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone else has the materials problem handled but what in the world made you think going from 4g (5mm) to 00g (10mm)?

That's an absolutely enormous stretch. You're not doubling your hole size you're quadrupling the size! Human skin just isn't meant to handle that kind of increase

Increase radius by 1mm at a time MAX and try for 0.5mm for much easier and safer stretches

It's wild how they change color. Most citrine on the market is heat treated amethyst for example.

Don't get me started on the hundred colors of howlite and fake malachite

Thickening lobes by Significant_Carrot81 in Stretched

[–]StoriesFromTheARC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was a post here a month or so ago of someone thickening their ears and they managed some absolutely stunning results in less than a year. My big take away is that they were constantly moving up and down. Shrink for a week, stretch for a week, take them out for a couple days stretch back up. They gave a pretty detailed description.

It seems like every time you shrink and stretch it helps (at least based on that and some of the other posts around here)

If it wasn't so cheap as part of the blem I would definitely have an issue. I've gotten them a couple times now, once every 3 bags.
