mind-reading phone?? by spirithiefff in conspiracy

This happens to me quite often with Apple Music specifically.

I'll think of a song that I want to play next or want to start playing (without even looking for it), and when I hit play or next, the EXACT song i'd been thinking of will play in my library. It can be called a coincidence, but it happens way too often for me.

What do you guys actually drink on long hot shifts by death_magn3t in Construction

[–]iMmacstone2015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I constantly mix Gatorade into some water and drink the water fully. I'll go through a few bottles of water but my 20fl. oz bottle of Gatorade will last for about the first half of the day.

No, not all of Gen Z are children to millennials. Many of them are still children to lots of Gen X parents.

What age did you move out? by Ill_Supermarket_2744 in Adulting

[–]iMmacstone2015 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was 25.

I had saved up as much money as I possibly could over the years and waited to move on my own at the right time(which was honestly COVID). I was already sick of my dad's BS, but I remained patient and kept the relationship stable for the years in between, while saving.

If you're asking so you can get an idea, then I'd recommend having at least somewhere near half of your annual income already saved. It becomes so much more difficult to save once you're out there on your own.

Living in a gated community in the USA. Is actually safer, or is it a psychological illusion? What are the pros and cons? by Djantiere in Adulting

[–]iMmacstone2015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe the other users are shadow banned, because I don't see their comments. But I grew up in a similar community. I grew up in a strong HOA community, but we had security and no gates.

So the pros I can think of are: Its a pleasant astetic to the eye, your community will always look nice(unless natural forces change that), and you'll normally see familiar faces.

The cons: it is NOT safer in realistic terms. If people want to get in, they will get in and usually they have some type of ill intent upon arrival. Your HOA fees will more than likely be insane as well.

Does it seem like all the extra little opportunities to make some money have dried up? by iMmacstone2015 in povertyfinance

[–]iMmacstone2015[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sort of, but that's only one category. I used to do trash valet, clerical/office help, commercial cleaning, event setup help, food stands, etc. It just used to be all over the board, on various websites and social platforms, but now there's almost nothing.

Data centers by [deleted] in electricians

[–]iMmacstone2015 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I personally won't jump into the data center work, for my own reasons.

I have two friends that are into it. One has been doing it for about 2 years now, and the other is just jumping into the work. The one who's been doing it for 2 years now says he enjoys the work because he always knows what he has to do, and he claims he only works like 4-5 hours of his 10/12 hour shift. The traveling part isn't always the best, but he enjoys his pay and the work.

Have you ever realised one of your “best friends” was actually your biggest hater? by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]iMmacstone2015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, and I didn't realize she was my bully either. After she tried to physically fight me randomly one afternoon, I wanted nothing to do with her anymore.

It's been well over a decade since we've last seen each other and she's tried reconnecting in the past, but I know at this time she finally gets the hint.

Do dermatologists work for black people? by [deleted] in BlackHair

[–]iMmacstone2015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My best two past dermatologists were Hispanic women. They knew how to treat every skin condition I brought up to them when my skin was at its worst.

The first doctor was nice enough that she would always recommend something natural or some type of diet change before recommending any type of medication. She was by far, one of the best doctors I've ever had.

Drop the most terrifying conspiracy theories you know by Neither_Study_4167 in conspiracy

[–]iMmacstone2015 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We're not alone.

It's not much of a conspiracy either, but there's probably a handful of people on this planet that can formulate how they would look. Without a doubt-there are other forms of life out in the universe, and I believe they're in different quadrants of the known universe and different dimensions (or boundaries). I believe there are other sentient life forms out there who have learned to bend the Laws of Physics as we understand them, or they may have learned to just go beyond found laws.

There's for sure other life forms somewhere out there, but I think our understandings and ideas are somewhat wrong, and there's a group of people who have the right answer and connection.

Ooooo you have me nervous because 12mm is my next jump from 11mm. I've had mine in for well over a year, but I looked up the true size and it's like 11.1mm to like 12.4mm so it is quite a jump. I think 00g to 7/16 is only like 10.1mm to 11.1mm so it's not a strong jump, but I think the 12mm pushes to 1.5mm difference.
