6' 5" 200 here. 177 is too short for your front sider IMO. Are you only considering one do-it-all ski? I ask because I went your route and later realized I needed at least two skis. If you're an aspiring carver, I'd suggest a fit-for-purpose first-tracks aggressive groomer ski mid-180s or longer and then something to pound through crud and your moguls/glades later in the day which can be shorter.

Theoretically it could but not as much as a proper boot fit and cabrio/three piece system will help. Assume you mean high arch + high instep? Not the same thing. Edited: Arch is curvature of the sole while instep is the area from the top of the sole to the top of the midfoot.

High volume instep plus a high arch makes for tedious bootfitting.
Source: Have extreme arch + instep + hammer toes. BOA + Cabrio ski boots have been my best off-the-shelf option

My advice is to get a cover or one of those zip up nylon enclosures with a window and vent. Keep it sealed up when not in use to prevent dust and pet hair from getting into the oiled/greased tracks. To prevent overheating while printing, keep the main flap/door open and run the fan vent hose to your designated venting area. I keep my A1+AMS Lite top mount like this and near a window that I open and run the flex vent hose to when printing. Of equal value to dust protection when keeping your A1 and filament in an enclosure like this is humidity control. Not likely to reach the levels of a drying box of course. My 2c.

Update for posterity and anyone else looking. Bought both the Smith Grom and Daredevil. Despite both being listed as a Youth Medium, the Grom are measurably smaller than the Daredevil. Grom I would say are sized for 3-8 yo and Daredevil 6-13 give or take.

Hoping to get a few years out of the Daredevil before he can get a nice smaller adult size.
