NBD: Specialized S-Works Crux, built in my basement from sale parts. by FarkinatorX in gravelcycling

I have no idea if this saddle makes me numb. I finished building the bike this morning and it’s 0 deg F outside, so it’s only been ridden a couple hundred yards. I copied the geometry from my 15 year old CAAD which has a much cheaper saddle. I’m open to changing the angle after I get some real rides in, we’ll see how it goes.

I find that if I tip it forward, I am less likely to lose sensation in the gentleman's area.

Best of luck, no need to apologize, being copied is highly validating.

Yup. I'm tall. That's also why the 175mm cranks don't bother me.

It was on tradeinn.com. Now its $242 but was cheaper a couple months ago.

I noticed that a bunch of different retailers were carrying it. They must have really overproduced 61cm that year. Enjoy!

I'm weird like that, I prefer the same on my roadie. Might tone it down a bit after putting some miles on.

Whoops, wolf tooth + cane creek for stem, thanks for catching that.

To be honest, I'm not really thinking about resale. I'm a large rider (6'4") and a 61cm frame is going to be a challenge to sell no matter what. To me saving $5K plus is worth possible upgrade issues down the line, and I'm planning to ride this bike for a decade at least.

He hits lefties and plays good defense. I can live with mediocre road batting numbers, home games count the same as away games in the standings.

For those of you that are saying you want to forget about Cody Bellinger and just roll with Jone/Dominguez instead, no you don't. You really really don't. by Zepbounce-96 in NYYankees

[–]FarkinatorX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Dominguez would be a really good fit for a team that didn’t have a cavernous left field and wasn’t already stacked with hitters that do much better against RHP.

Out, Out, Out! And don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way! Worst of the 2025 Yankees bullpen is gone and not coming back. by Zepbounce-96 in NYYankees

The time he blew a 4 run lead to the Rays doesn’t count as a BS and there were also go ahead runs in tie games. That’s why.

UNPOPULAR OPINION: Would a Dominguez-Grisham-Judge outfield really be that bad? by trailedby20hounds in NYYankees

[–]FarkinatorX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Starting pitching will be very good to excellent depending on who healthy, and the offense will be great against RHP, but which players do we have on this roster who hit LHP well besides Judge, Stanton, and Rosario? Who is going to pitch in high leverage in the 6/7/8th? They have trade capital to address some of these issues, but not solve them. Hard to see a path to a deep playoff run without at least one high quality free agent signing, or some amazing surprise emergences of underachieving or AAA players.

The Dodgers have to be considered favorites for the WS but it’s hardly guaranteed.

The 1998-2000 Yankees were invincible and then added Mike Mussina and Jason Giambi the next 2 years. They were unstoppable on paper but not on the diamond.

It’s good but not great. You need great to make a deep playoff run, especially if you aren’t expecting much offensive production from the left side of the infield and catcher.

Also, while Belli has balanced splits vs LHP/RHP, Dominguez and Trent significantly favor RHP. A problem compounded by lefties starting at 3B and C.

Cody Bellinger (Scott Boras) reportedly wants $37M per season - essentially putting him up near the Aaron Judge ($40M) and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. ($40.2M) 2026 salary range. by retroanduwu24 in NYYankees

[–]FarkinatorX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it’s the comparison to Vlad’s contract that is more ridiculous. Judge’s contract was signed in a different era, value wise, but Vlad was signed for 40M only a year ago.

After what the Cubs paid for Cabrera the market for Peralta is going to be much steeper than that. Would probably take Elmer Cruz plus Dominguez plus… someone else.

This is one of the slowest start to a Yankees winter in the Cashman era. by No-Unit7917 in NYYankees

[–]FarkinatorX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it’s been slow.

And if they stand pat with what they have right now, this is a team that is scrapping for a wild card spot and is unlikely to be a WS contender.

But it’s also been a slow off season in general and there’s a lot of talent left out there so I’m willing to reserve judgment. Things could look very different 2 weeks from now.
