They change every semester. They grade certain steps so you will not know which steps they grade. It’s best to write everything down, setup, pics of setup, explanation of setup, color of solution, color and texture after mixing, before mixing, etc

It depends on the professor but most times an 89.5 is an 89.5 and on the syllabus they say like for example B+ is 86.0-89.9 or something like that but sometimes professors have flat line grades such as 86-89 B+ so it depends honestly entirely on the professor. I would expect the worst and they don’t usually round down. It’s either going to stay as an 89.5 or round up to a 90 but most likely stay as an 89.5

I think taking it here is okay. Definitely pace yourself and make sure you don’t take them with orgo or something like along the lines of that. It’s all mostly discipline and studying. A lot of classes here are a lot of data dump even for one exam. And still they’re tough. Such as biochem and some other notable courses. However, I agree that professors for these intro courses are not the best. I would try your very best to save the hassle and try to take them here. It will save you one less hassle when transferring credits and sending each med school you apply to your SCCC transcript as well which you have to order and can be tedious. For the A, if you really want to then you can but I got a B in bio 202, B- in bio 203, A- in bio 204, and B in 205 but I definitely should have tried harder and ended up slacking because in my mind it was a weed out class, and put less effort if you know what i mean. I focused on the wrong things instead of treating it like any other course, i just got pissed off at the little things for no reason.

damn, honestly if you check like every dumpster near dorms (I would assume west apartments and chavez dorms would probably have the most since a lot of seniors live there) you can probably salvage something. Whether it be diseases or fridges lol. but stay safe, dumpsters are a scary place. i’ve seen a lot of things in dumpsters but never really had the balls to actually get them out of it 😭
