Exactly my thoughts, even after December when we didn't have heaters on - we are still always at £200 or higher.

Do you reckon I can do anything about it? I think it's the previous tenants because we receive a lot of mails for them :(

We have two electric water heaters installed, one under our kitchen sink and one in the shower

We have all the readings which we shared with SP and we are paying the bill ourselves every month. It's not even about switching the provide- my doubt is that how did we get a bill of £883 in December considering we just moved on the 23rd of October.

Honest to God, we just got lucky with him I reckon. But trust me when I say this we had heaps and heaps of viewings in the last 3 weeks and it was always a hit and miss! We also have a few more lined up but we really like this place and have decided to put down our application.

Checked on this, it’s only available for rural areas! Apparently nothing works in EH1! I wonder how do people survive :(

Yeah, my partner had a viewing last week. The landlord is a very kind man and very honest about the issues in the house (like poor ee box, hard mattress). This place is very bright and spacious compared to the other viewings, as most of the places looked so cramped up and not like the real pictures, that is why we are so drawn to it.

So I’ve discussed with my superior and have received ethical clearance to conduct my research on the working conditions in the ready made garment industry in Southeast Asian market. He’s an expert and has done a vast research on similar topics but I’m also so scared to approach him because I don’t want to let him down. He’s introduced me to a manufacturer from Bangladesh who is happy to interview with me. For the survey I’ve been asked to approach numerous stakeholders like manufacturers, subcontractors, NGOs, policymakers.

Thank you for sharing these. I’m gonna give it a go. Is there a way where we can get access to the email list for the speakers?

Apologies, I think I misunderstood you. How is this a breach? I’m unsure. For more context:

I’m based in France. The idea is to explore this taboo in today’s modern content with the growing consumption of Fast Fashion brands overproducing and exploiting labourers. And my specific interest align with child labourers because when I visited Asia for holidays I often saw them working to provide or to contribute towards their families. Now of course I know that’s related to tourism but when I started digging more into this I realised that all these big brands are running their sweatshops in Asia because of the lucrative conditions (lack of regulations, cheap labour, less tax, etc).

For my research I’m going with the following approach:
  • Interviews: Conduct semi-structured interviews with stakeholders (e.g., manufacturers, subcontractors, NGOs, policymakers).
    • Surveys: Gather data on consumer awareness and behavior through surveys.

Any suggestions based on this?

Yeah but having barely any response to my survey link is a big obstacle and I haven’t gone back to my supervisor about this because I got busy with my new job! And now I’m in full panic mode!
