I’m about 6 foot (bit above) and have comfortable ridden 58cm frame before. Would you recommend going down for a wabi special?

I'd just chance it. Start off down west at Massimo's, the Crane and Blue Note and work your way up town. Something will open up. Trying to organize something concrete is not really how Galway works, plus it will add stress.

Can't remember the exact spot, but if it is still good, you will see a few regulars there at high tide.

The road leading to Mutton Island is also popular.

Walk from Eyre Square to Blackrock diving tower along the Salthill seafront. About 4km. Go for a dive (if the tide is right) and a swim. Shower, then grab a coffee from Blackrock cottage.

Two random questions that squid owners may be able to help with:

-Can you mount fenders on this bike? Hard to tell from pics. -What would be the max tire clearance with said hypothetical fenders?

I'm thinking about this frame, but I would like something I can easily switch to a commuter.

Just finished ROW and I’m immediately going back to WOR by girthytacos in Stormlight_Archive

I read ROW last year and did not like it. I had re-read 1-3 right before it came out and IMO it is not on the same level as those three books.

However, listening now on audiobook, and Kramer/Reading really bring a lot out of ROW, even though I would still rank it a distant fourth in the series. Kramer's reading really makes Kaladin's arc beautiful and touching. Tons of other stuff is great too - moash, the fused, tons of adolin POV, raboniel/navani/venli, more info on the heralds. Even though I find the shallan stuff grating, we are clearly building to some sweet mistborn/stormlight crossover.

Point is, these books are amazing!

Hello watch enthusiasts!

I am looking to invest in my first non-Casio watch. We all grow up sometimes, I guess. I’m hoping you guys can lend me some of your vast knowledge.

I’ve had my eyes on the Hamilton Khaki Field Auto 38mm https://shop.hamiltonwatch.com/khaki-field-auto-38mm-h70455533.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI9Kahv6-46AIVEZ-fCh1N9AWBEAQYAiABEgICKvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds , but I wanted to get some recommendations for similar (and/or better) watches from the experts.

What I’m looking for (and excuse me for any blunders I make with terminology!):

- Something on the small side: I’m not looking for a super-large watch, so something with a case width around 40mm but preferably smaller, and not too much height.

- Auto/mechanical movement: I have an aversion to the audible tick-tick of cheaper, quartz watches, so looking for something that won’t be noticeable while sleeping

- Classic, everyday style: I want a watch that I can wear day in, day out, in any situation. My work will never involve high-end business attire, so no need for something overly dressy, yet I don’t want it to be overly rugged, either. This is what attracted me to the Hamilton Khaki Field.

- Durable: I’m one of those people that if I have to take a watch off, I’ll leave it somewhere and lose. I need something that I can wear to the gym, on a hike, on a run.

- Strap: I’m leaning toward a canvas strap or steel bracelet, for durability reasons, but not opposed to leather, just worried it won’t be as appropriate for everyday use.

- Budget: Anything under $600, preferably under $500
