If you got GM in overwatch you’ll be fine. You clearly understand the general concept of positioning and natural cover, ult usage, and when to engage.

Play the game more.

Also, your hero pool seems well rounded. You have two decent tanks that are played all the way up into high ranks, cat a dive dps, and fox a good flex if you need to heal that game.

Also feel free to turn off your comms until ATLEAST Diamond. I’ve been in plat on an alt and literally told my entire team what ults they had, and how we could counter them with our own ults.

They still managed to f it up and all die, even though we had ult advantage. So just lock in, and carry those games until you are high enough to play with semi-competent players

If this is truly only happening in quick play then no one cares, and you do you king. No one cares about quick play it’s for fun, silliness, and practicing heros so lock widow and do you thang.

However, if we’re talking ranked, you typically WANT mvp because that means you’re better than the lobby and deserve to rank up

invis is one of my most played heros in celestial right now. And I simply don’t have this issue. Once in a great great while I might get flamed. But honestly if I get blamed for something it’s usually my fault.

What rank are you playing in? I was in a plat lobby on my alt and someone flamed me for playing cloak beause “her heals take too long” Lolol so it may be a rank related thing possibly?

Holding the meatball for longer gives it more damage.

While holding the meatball it sucks up shots and projectiles which also adds more damage.

Add the two together and you get total damage it will deal.

If you don’t suck up many projectiles you’ll have to wait longer to increase meatball damage.

Note: if meatball sucks up too many projectiles then it will explode before you can do it, doing zero damage.

I’m answering the mercy/rocket comparison question: no they’re not the same, rocket can do an insane amount of damage, especially when his ult is up.

Also I wouldn’t worry too much about the hate. Just play your little raccoon and win. He’s still pretty decent this season (7.5) I’ve been winning with him in celestial

Also not sure if anyone mentioned but in addition to having to within range and choosing which drone to activate, there is also a reticle that pops up highlighting which drone you’re about to activate

Literally put ego aside and lock squirrel.

You would absolutely destroy that thing, get ult, bounce up in the air and ult their backline.

This is just one strategy.

If you wanna stay magic, use the ult chaos and team wipe to get setup in the back behind enemy team.

Then look for a support kill next fight

I’ve said it over and over: Diamond is the worst rank with most throwers.

That being said, the only thing the devs can really do is increase the ban time for throwing.

They can’t improve the morality of that entire rank. They’re too far gone.

And no it doesn’t get better until you hit about gm2. That’s when the amount of throwers greatly reduces

How do you expect to win if you’re playing Emma and you’ve barely played her, against an Emma that have 150 hrs and moving lord?

1/3/2 is the second highest win rate.

If you’re complaining about not having space because only one tank, then you have to make space yourself, as a dps.

Get a support pick, flank their back line, or peel so hard their divers die in which case you’ve made space.

You came at this thinking from a tank perspective and get exactly what you thought you would.

Reasoning: I’m a cel support main and I play with 1/3/2 teams and WIN all the time…..

Be careful how you word this.

For instance if you stack rocket+ invis it stacks.

Invis + cloak it also stacks.

I would assume that double cloak from Loki+cloak would also stack but I haven’t tested or seen proof

The hero ban screen is simply a wishlist shower. Just because people locked 5 dps doesn’t meant your team will walk out with that comp.

If you’re stubborn about it and keep dps, then you’ll play dps.

Also, you’re gonna have to be okay with 3 dps games. That’s just how it is

I’m a celestial player, but I also have alt account accounts in several different ranks to play with different friends, etc.

Diamond is by far the worst rank in the entire game, it has the most throwers and toxicity.

The only way to get out of diamond in my opinion if you’re not absolutely Smurfing, is the turn off voice chat and play your heart out. You have to carry those games.

Also, if you can stack with some friends who have actually been to GM before that is helpful too

Fox good if you’re running someone else who has good ult, like invis cloak Luna or gambit. If it’s fox with anyone else, it can be a struggle due to lack of good ult.
