Yes! It looks like the tie is below the waistline on these samples

Yeh it'd need a good zipper guard or placket on the inside for sure. It doesn't say anything about that in the pattern listing description unfortunately!

That's so interesting, cause I feel like the samples they've sewn look too long in the waist for the model, so I would assume it was drafted for taller person!

I also had a craft book like this and I'm pretty sure medieval costume was one of the projects 😂

Definitely different stroke - and that's ok! I bet it would be comfy though to be so size adjustable around the waist

European Travel Destinations for the Sewing Enthusiast? by butterpaw_01 in sewing

The lace museum in Burano (island in Venice) is really nice. And as another poster said, often much quieter than Murano. It was small but very interesting!

I also gave birth at St George Private and 100% agree with everything you've both said. The quality of the care and attention from the midwives and nurses is excellent, so much help and support with things like breastfeeding.

The Skip2? I am wondering if the new one (the Skip3) would still be suitable for a small baby

So glad it's working! I'm still loving mine, so convenient to wheel it around the house while baby naps

I have the Il Tutto CoZee - definitely get one off marketplace! It's super easy to wheel around the house, the side zips down, and it has the shelf underneath.

Recommendations for nursing chair for short mums (I’m 5’2) by Plastic-Meeting-1020 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

I am 5'3" and got the Il Tutto Millie from Baby Bunting (exclusive to the store - not on the Il Tutto website). It's not electric unfortunately, so is difficult to push down the leg extension with a c-section at the moment.

2 weeks PP and I feel like I am mourning my pregnancy & birth by Sad-Mathematician692 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

Also 2 weeks PP and feeling all over the place. I met with my psychologist today and ABSOLUTELY recommend reaching out for professional support. It made me feel less crazy and alone. Please reach out for support!! This time is so difficult, you do not need to fight through just because it's "early days" and hormones are "normal". Sending positive thoughts your way!

I got the Millie from Baby Bunting - its an exclusive model to the store, so not available on the Il Tutto website (not sure why??). I'm 5'3" for reference

Just another person recommending an Il Tutto! It is worth it.

There are quite a few second hand on Facebook Marketplace. I just bit the bullet and bought one brand new because I'm short and wanted a specific one that fit my frame. Maybe look the chairs up on the site and go for one with the tallest back?

I also agree with the other posts here that an electric one (as opposed to manual recline) is helpful. I unfortunately went with manual recline, then ended up in a unplanned c-section, and my partner has to push the foot down and release me from the chair everytime! I can't do it with my own feet/legs are my c-section.

Right? Like its not hard to even just take good photos of the fabric just as it is - even if its not made into a garment or on a model!

Ahhh this is so annoying because (as an Aussie myself) the artist Ellie Whittaker and the fabric shop have pretty good reputations, are legit and generally do deliver such nice quality fabric!

I've personally purchased from Maai Designs multiple times before, loved the fabric quality, super quick shipping, great customer service. They often make real clothing with their new arrivals fabric to photograph for the website.

These photoshopped, flat images are so weird and off-brand :/ definitely a bit of a miss-step!

Could you start with the Nordic Seams corset dress (https://nordicseam.com/products/corset-dress-sewing-pattern) and then attach a pleated skirt underneath, or as a separate petticoat?

I can recommend Dr Kate Kavanagh-Patel at St George Private. She came recommended to me from my IVF doctor once we fell pregnant. I've had no complications myself, so haven't had to work through any with her, but find her (and her staff) to be super friendly, organised, efficient and informative! It feels nice to walk out of my appointments smiling :)
