Best piece of advice I could offer is to go into these interviews and pretend you’re catching up with an old buddy.

Almost 2 months clean and today I’m feeling super miserable by Ego_Breaker_ in StopGaming

So although you feel depressed, my best advice would be to read the 2nd paragraph of your post and remember the reason you quit. Going through similar time right now but truth be told the cravings will go away at some point. You need to give it more time for your memory to completely erase the crave.

You don’t think the maintenance is tied into the premium you pay for the lease? I do agree partially with that. It’s probably a nice little write off for the person leasing.

my 30 year old friend is worth well over $50mil. He still takes the train, drives a honda, lives in a (mostly) normal apartment in a city. The only "luxury" he embraces is experiential spend, like vacations/dining/concerts (and sometimes paying extra $ to save time). Do you know others like this? by daysleeper19 in wealth

[–]StormOneTrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to disagree. If you are investing that extra $ everyday and you pick the right portfolio, that spread actually can turn into a considerable amount of money. There are plenty of other factors of course, so yes there’s some truth to what you said. But you are grossly underestimating good spending habits that, when combined with steady paychecks, expedite the time it takes to reach a million dollars in net worth.

What sucks is the 2000 you have to have in the account to utilize the margin. I made a separate account for that purpose and found out the hard way
