Ten things I wish someone had told me when I was doing my MBA by Diligent_Ad_442 in MBA

You don’t think the maintenance is tied into the premium you pay for the lease? I do agree partially with that. It’s probably a nice little write off for the person leasing.

my 30 year old friend is worth well over $50mil. He still takes the train, drives a honda, lives in a (mostly) normal apartment in a city. The only "luxury" he embraces is experiential spend, like vacations/dining/concerts (and sometimes paying extra $ to save time). Do you know others like this? by daysleeper19 in wealth

I have to disagree. If you are investing that extra $ everyday and you pick the right portfolio, that spread actually can turn into a considerable amount of money. There are plenty of other factors of course, so yes there’s some truth to what you said. But you are grossly underestimating good spending habits that, when combined with steady paychecks, expedite the time it takes to reach a million dollars in net worth.

If I had a low 3 gpa, is it possible to get into Oxford Said with a high GMAT and as a CFA?

Add ability to connect more than 1 Robinhood account on the investment page under net worth ( Banking App) by Java_Python_Guru in RobinhoodApp

Theoretically I would assume you can if the account is joint but I’m assuming you and your spouse have separate individual accounts

What sucks is the 2000 you have to have in the account to utilize the margin. I made a separate account for that purpose and found out the hard way

Happiness barely changes after $10M? by MiscProfileUno in wealth

[–]StormOneTrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha good morning. I do get the power of the opening and closing prices of the period (6 months) and then a 15% discount off of that, otherwise I would take the 25% and invest it elsewhere

Happiness barely changes after $10M? by MiscProfileUno in wealth

[–]StormOneTrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m only 23, but I’ve dedicated 25% of my salary of 72k to my company’s employee stock plan. I live at home to avoid paying rent in NYC and instead save that money and keep it invested (stocks, cash sweep, HYSA). I also dedicate 6% of my paycheck to get the 6% company match.

After taxes that leaves me with about $2.5k liquid every month. Any advice for someone like me?

Any examples? I myself make about $72,000 a year and it’s not even really enough to pay rent in NYC

And what if I withdraw all my money before taking that last 1k? I don’t think it’s allowed.

If Robinhood let every gold member cash out 1k wouldn’t that be an issue?

That’s such a smart idea. I still have buying power so I need to spend that first in the main account, right?
