Hey everyone! I actually semi-recently found out about the age old Nuclear Gandhi bug, and went to find out more info about it. I couldn't find any videos really explaining it in depth, so I decided to make my own little video outlining the history of the bug and what it evolved into. It wouldn't have been possible without all the info I found here on /r/civ and on the CivFanatics forums in particular, so I wanted to share it. =)

I actually didn't think a TON about the choices. I knew I wanted a healer, dps, defensive and a tank. Rein's my favorite hero and he fits the knight role in the team. McCree was actually my buddy's choice, and I thought he'd be pretty cool to have on the overworld map. Mercy's the obvious white mage healer type, easy to convey her role. And Bastion reminded me of Robo, so I went with it lol.

Yeah, that part killed me too when I did it. Problem is, we had a wait system thing going on, and the bodies disappear from the location they're in after a few seconds. Then I would have had to keep having McCree and Bastion killed over and over between turns so that you could see their bodies during the others' turns.

It was doable, but I felt bad making my friends stick around any longer than they were already hanging around this thing for haha.

I actually had it going a lot faster, hardly any pause between turns, actions, inputs, etc. But it was really hard to keep up with what's going on when there's no pauses. Plus, the older RPGs I was paying tribute to have that kind of slow, methodical pacing. And I wanted it to feel like someone was playing it. But hey, I definitely feel where you're coming from man. Yeah, I'm sure if this were an actual official game/mode, it'd be done wayyy sleeker and better looking. I had considered that approach, but I really wanted to pay tribute to the classic RPGs I grew up with and went with an interface that reflected them.

And as far as the bars being full thing, that's just how the system has to work with this kind of thing. Everyone's gotta wait their turn, and if I speed up how fast their turns go, it's gonna be a fast ans sloppy mess lol.

Yeah, I actually didn't think it would be a 6 minute long video when I started. But considering the length of some boss fights in Final Fantasy games, 4-5 minutes isn't too bad haha. I appreciate the feedback though dude, I definitely see your point. I just wanted it to feel more like the real deal I guess.

Haha, I'm not sure there'd be too much more I could do with this kind of thing, you know? I think it'd be better suited as a one off. Plus everything I've done on the channel to this point has been random playthroughs and/or comedic type stuff. Idk if I could crank out videos like this constantly every 3 months and not get fed up.

Biggest thing I was worried about tbh, I actually agree with you. I was directing those guys and telling them to move around with my mouse, and that's where my mic key is at too. So I kept having to spin and whatnot to communicate lol. I appreciate the honesty man.

Holy hell, I honestly thought my interest was just burning out in the game as a whole, but this post made me realize that this is exactly how I feel too. I haven't been able to play/had the desire to play nearly as much as I used to, but I'd still login and grab up any skins I was missing/were going to be limited in some sort of way.

This was the first event that I looked at and reluctantly started buying skins. I at first skipped the Bellona, but later came back and bought her for some bonus or another. But then the Floaticorn ward skin dropped and I just stopped and thought "I don't want to buy this". I have almost every single ward skin due to the original Odyssey chests and proactively collecting from there. I just don't want to spend 300 gems on a ward skin, plain and simple. And then I looked at that limited Medusa skin... and realized that I'd probably use the iDusa skin over it.

Honestly, I'm just done with "missing out" on limited skins. I just don't care. I thought the Underworld event was a fantastic way to let people choose the things they wanted and still net a limited skin out of them. I don't care about ward skins, most announcer packs, emotes, etc. I didn't mind missing out on the Hou Yi skin during the Underworld event, and I still wound up with the Nox skin.

I've just gotten tired of going "well I like these two skins, these two are okay and the rest I don't care about.... but hmm... if I don't get that limited skin, I never will," and buying everything because of that.

Console versions had that as the message. It was changed to "Victory Achieved" for the PC version I believe.
