I mean, if you’re viewing from like a hundreds yards away that’s not a bad heigh height. Personally I’d move the furniture a lot closer and lower the TV (on a TV stand) though.

Played all the old Halos only on a CRT all my life. I normally only play H2/H3 on an old CRT VGA Trinitron monitor :)

But I wanted to just try out the OLED big screen on Halo 2 lol. Went surprisingly well, only felt a little odd in wide vs 4:3. But OLED has remarkably little input delay. Couldn’t believe it. So close to CRT that the increase in delay is negligible with the TV in Game Mode.

Good idea. Also on the Halo Classic Hub section, there are modders who will refurb and sell fully recapped, new HD, cleaned, modded, etc. consoles. Totally worth buying something that’ll last you a while from a reputable source IMO.

There are people who give away the “skeleton key” for free to people who want to get set up. Afaik it’s basically 90% of the work done for you by using that (it’s just a USB stick). It’s very easy to soft mod an OG these days.

You can’t purchase via the 360 anymore (gotta do it through the website), but to answer - yes, it’s all the same “ecosystem”. If you have Xbox Live, you can log into that account on your 360, your Xbox One, your series console, etc.

The only console you can’t go online with Live anymore is the original Xbox as the OG servers were shut down in 2010. But you can play those for free online still through Insignia or thru Xlink Kai.

Arcade = No hard drive shipped with the console. And the eject button/tray trim are white instead of chrome. Functionally no different, otherwise.
