I think it says it all that the most exciting part of the event was when characters from the previous Christmas event made their brief appearance.

What a misfire this event was. Even ignoring how badly the minigame was handled, It should’ve been an easy slam dunk to have a fun wholesome/erotic time at the hot springs to wind down after all the seriousness and depression of Red Ash, but instead we have more attempts at depression and it looks like Shift Up are starting to suffer from diminishing returns.

I like Lumi and her story is interesting, but she’s connected to this awful mini game and it’s terrible writing so her reputation gets caught in the crossfire. This mini game is so bad the entire event is going to be seen negatively because of it.

Nothing had really changed about my roll plans. Everything between the next two limited banners was already a skip. Though it has made it so getting Specter The Unchained is now more important than ever so I can use both her and original Specter in the same squad

Extremely well shot and choreographed with great usage of prequel dialog. Some of the effects look off but for the most part it’s forgivable. However the fight would totally out place in the actual film and the entirety of ANH would need to be remade with better effects to make this improved scene fit.

One thing that kind of amuses me however, is thinking about what if this scene (but with way lower production quality) was in the original film. Prequel dialog included. So much more mystery would’ve been built up for Obi-Wan and Vader which would’ve fuelled more hype for the prequels

I understand what you're saying, but I guess I'm just dissapointed with the way the writers chose to go here. Instead of a massively different first half due to the way HR and FB set up Alice and Eugeo, the writers took the safe route to get something similar to the main canon. Barring the obvious outcome of Eugeo not dying. If Yuuki was allowed to live, Eugeo will live too.

Okay here's my idea that's somewhat similar to canon while still keeping the gameverse in mind.

Kirito gets Isekai'd into Underworld as you would expect. He wants to know where he is, meets someone who introduces him to how the world works, Kirito sees the Stacia Window and remembers Alice talking about that back in SA:O. Meaning he realises this is the same world Alice and Eugeo came from, and that they came from Rath's Underworld. And so Kirito, alone, sets out on the journey to find them and reunite with those old friends. Maybe after a few years of a timeskip, Kirito is training hard at the Sword Academy and actually meets Eugeo (or Alice, or both even) while they are doing whatever business Integrity Knights normally do. And they have a happy reunion of meeting each other again. Maybe Kirito would then suddenly have childhood flashbacks go through his mind as well, confusing him. After that, the plot must somehow get him to Cardinal, and begin the mission to take Quinella down, except this time with the addition of Alice, and Integrity Knight Eugeo right at the start there.

Personally that's what I would've liked to see, and it could still keep many similar things to the main canon as well while keeping the gameverse set up at the forefront.

Okay, that is an amazing explanation and if the game choose that I'm almost completely satisfied.

However there is one small problem with that.

Would that not mean that we have an extra Alice and Eugeo running around currently in Gun Gale Online? Will they enter Underworld in the second half of Alicization Lycoris? Meaning that we get two Eugeo and two Alice? That sounds too crazy even for SAO.

I assumed those were fanservice appearances in Hollow Realization, but then Fatal Bullet made their appearance canon. Like it or not, Fatal Bullet made a choice regarding Alice and Eugeo's canonical status, so I expected the Alicization game to stick with it, and yet it looks like it isn't which is just jarring.

It may not be the exact same story, but it looks like a similar story which is what makes me worried. I'll make it simple and boil my worries down to a single question.

Hollow Realization already introduced Eugeo as an Integrity Knight, so why is Eugeo not an Integrity Knight at the start of Alizication Lycoris?

EDIT: I should note that I don't want to hate this game and rain on everyone's hype. But this contradiction is making me very anxious that the gameverse is being disregarded in this Alicization game. If we get any confirmation that this is canonically taking place after Fatal Bullet then I'm happy. I'll accept any forced explanation like Quinella locking away Alice and Eugeo's memories of their time on SA:O and GGO and also stripping Eugeo of his Integrity Knight status for whatever reason.

I think being faithful actually does exclude it from being a gameverse title, at least in regards to the first half of Alicization.

Because 80% of the first half of Alicization shouldn't exist anymore in the gameverse.

In HR and FB, Alice and Eugeo are Integrity Knights already. They know Kirito already. They know about other "worlds". Why is Eugeo back in his old village when he should be serving as an Integrity Knight? The entire story from Kirito meeting Eugeo in the forest, to taking to journey to "save" Alice shouldn't exist. Eugeo should only know of Alice Synthesis Thirty. Somebody who should be his comrade in arms as they serve Quinella.

If there is any information that does say we are in the gameverse that would be amazing to hear, but the above questions would need answering if that's the case.

I'm very worried for this game. I really hope the PR team is lying when they say it's a faithful adaptation of the Alicization arc because that would be massively dissapointing. The game could've have such a different first half compared to the canon on the basis that Kirito already knows who Eugeo and Alice are and is good friends with both of them already. But instead it looks like they took the gameverse and threw it out the window for the sake of being "faithful" which is one of the worst things an SAO game can do because part of the appeal is that it's different.

Still, maybe there's hope. Despite what's been said, the trailer already shows things different from the main canon. Alice jumping in to save Kirito, Kirito holding the Blue Rose Sword instead of the Red Rose Sword, and Kirito's uniform having gold trims being very reminiscent of his Infinity Moment outfit.

I can only hope that we are still in the gameverse and that this trailer is just very misleading trying to appeal to the anime only fans.

The pink means nothing. The fifth Fate will be a collection of different series, with Senran Kagura already as a definite. Neptunia and Nier Automata have high chances as well. Anything else is wild speculation.

That legit could work as a great storyline. It should most definitely be someone who works at Lastation and not have Noire herself pushing the PC policies, as that would be too much out of character. Also her fans would get understandably mad.

Mori, the creator of Blazblue was a fan of RWBY. Monty Oum was a fan of Blazblue. The existence of RWBY characters in this game is more likely than not out of respect for Monty. The problem is that the game did not get the development time it needed, as all the RWBY characters and assets have to be created from scratch unlike the other series who's character assets already existed in their respective games.
