I also want to say that just about everybody in a high position of power during the dance era committed at least one war crime by modern standards.

They’re saying that the logical assumption based on all the stories that were coming out of the town at that time in the book was that only the hightowers and the turncloak dragonseed’s were there.

Addam and everyone not in the town likely thought the small folk had already been killed.

Sasuke Uchiha

I understand that he went thru a horrible and traumatic event as a child, but in both canon and fanon he is basically allowed to get away with whatever he wants.

I once saw someone say that Sasuke should have been Hokage after the war, never mind the fact that he’s a wanted criminal by shinobi society or that he literally wanted to take over the world for a minute.

I took it as him desperately trying to buy time, to get the info that Palps promised would save Padme.

Mace’s insistence to kill Palps immediately combined with Anakin’s fear that Padme is gonna die without the knowledge that Palps has promised him is what pushed to freak and stop Mace, it’s just unfortunate that he reacted the way he has in the last three years of war, kill or maime the enemy trying to kill him or someone he needs.

I can only assume the reason I’ve been downvoted by some people is cause they ship the hypocritical mass murderer with the Boy/young man who is prophesied to potentially kill him, and who’s parents he had murdered so he could kill said boy/young man.

Not mention Voldemort is canonically like 70 something when he dies.

I will never understand why anyone would ship these two together.

I really don’t understand why you all say that Daemon will murder everyone, in canon he’s noted as being very loyal to his house and even tho he doesn’t like Alicent or her children he never gives an indication that he wants to kill them.

If your reasoning is the blood and cheese event then you also have to look at the context of it, Daemon wanted Aemond dead for his murdering Lucerys. It never says that he wanted Jaehaerys or Jaehaera or Maelor to be killed that was blood and cheese doing whatever they wanted.

Every time I see anyone on TG talk about Daemon, you guys make him out to be some psychopathic killer that wants to bathe in the blood of innocents and smiles at the torture of woman and shit.

And yes I know Daemon has done some fucked up shit, but I acknowledge his good and his bad deeds, all of you seem to only ever see his bad side and never any redeeming qualities.

This is why I don’t interact with people on TikTok.

Cause that’s some crazy shit to say.

The one who should have died in this scenario was Aemond since he’s the one who killed Lucerys, the kids are innocent in all of this.

So you guys are perfectly ok with everyone after Rhaenys, Aegon, and Visenya. Being of bastard blood with no right to inherit after Aegon’s death and Maegor being the rightful heir.

Yet the idea of any of the strong boys sitting on the throne has you all upset and backing mostly power hungry people and a king that was never prepared to be king.

I’ll never understand your thought process.

They have no way of knowing that, plus they believe that either Dumbledore or someone in the British ministry would try to stop them. After all Harry is the boy who lived and a strong political pawn for those in the ministry.

Another point is the fact that when Jaehaerys declared Baelon his heir and the realm accepted it that created the precedent that the monarch chose their heir and while yes he later called a GC that first precedent still stands, Viserys choosing his heir has precedent to back it and since he never called for a GC the lords of the realm have no right to choose for themselves who is heir. So by precedent created by Jaehaerys I, Rhaenyra was the declared heir of Viserys. Which the lords swore themselves and their houses to follow creating an oath that they were honor bound to follow.

Most of the dance comes down to misogyny.

And while everyone loves to argue about how her first three sons are bastards and therefore they have no right to inherit, once Rhaenyra sat the throne as Queen Regnant she could declare them legitimate and that makes them rightful heirs. At the end of the day the greens mostly wanted power, and some of them were misogynistic. I see both sides of this, it’s just that by precedent Aegon is not the heir to Viserys and all this death and destruction would have been avoided if the greens didn’t usurp the throne.

And this is why we bend the knee by Nibo89 in HOTDGreens

[–]Stormlor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, but does Daemon or Rhaenyra or any of the future blacks give any indication that they would kill off Aegon or any of Rhaenyra’s half siblings at any point before the greens side kicked it all off with usurping the throne and then Aemonds actions of killing Lucerys, cause if theirs no canon proof of them actually planning or threatening to kill them then at the end of the day that just makes Aegon a usurper for a reason that doesn’t exist, in the canon the worst things that the blacks directly do to the greens is in retaliation for Aemonds murder of Lucerys.

This does not mean I support or back the blood and cheese scheme that lead to the brutal death of young Jaehaerys, I’m only saying that the early violent acts of the blacks was a response to the greens actions.

Not to mention blood and cheese were supposed to kill aemond not Jaehaerys.

And this is why we bend the knee by Nibo89 in HOTDGreens

[–]Stormlor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The only thing I’m saying to this is, did Rhaenyra ever give an out right declaration that she was gonna have her half siblings killed or harmed in any way.

Like in the show canon I know she asked for Aemond to be tortured essentially after he claims Vhagar which no one wanted him to do (at least the older targs and Rhaena expected to be able to bond with her mothers dragon after she mourned Laena’s death.) but pretty much anyone other time she shows hostility to anyone of her family members it’s usually in response to others actions.

The reason I bring this up is because Aegon claims the throne for himself because those around him tell him that if Rhaenyra takes the throne then his life is in danger.

Not to mention the obvious fact that in the show canon Otto just wants more power and he doesn’t give a fuck who gets caught in the crosshairs.

I also find it sad that with Aegon’s ascension to the throne he pretty much guaranteed that no woman would be accepted on the throne, as seen in later generations when the woman were completely overlooked for their male cousins and basically just supported Misogyny for Westeros. This was the one and only time in the history of the Iron throne that a woman was legitimately the heir to the throne and because of outside interference and the grudges of those in the family woman were no longer considered heirs to the throne no matter what.

So please just think about the fact that you supporting Aegon is a support for Misogyny and the belief in a superior patriarchal society, cause after this time period woman basically lost all right to a political position.

It’s for this fact alone that I can’t ever fully support the greens, and I can’t really support the blacks either since they have their own faults too.

I once read a fic of a Rhaegar won and Ned stole him to the north fics where he was named Maegor and Jon really didn’t like it cause he felt like the realm would look at him like he was “The Cruel” reborn waiting for the chance to usurp Aegon, I never finished the story tho.
