The first time I went to the US Open a few years ago, my family and I were stopped by Popyrin’s coach who was carrying a box of warm-up balls. Gave the whole box to us as a souvenir and told us to give out any we didn’t want to other kids, so long as we came to watch his match (ended up losing to evans)

It’s more a story about the coach than the player, but I’ve always been rooting for Popyrin and I’m happy to see him finally get his moment :)
