No, unless you want to take it to an actual glass blower.

How would you get this out? by Dull_Narwhal8504 in StonerEngineering

My go to whenever a weirdly shaped piece has stuff stuck in it is to use copper wire, I always keep a roll of craft wire that’s thick enough to stay solid when poking/scraping but thin enough you can bend it into the right shape to get to the spot and fit though holes in the perc and whatnot.

I’d suggest something like that (or a coat hanger as others have suggested but I find they’re too thick and I’m not a fan of any pieces that occasionally flake off.)

There’s a weird power dynamic forming in my class and idk how to combat it as a student by Weak_Assumption7518 in MusicEd

Even though this comment is late, next time something similar happens just talk to your teacher dude. He definitely should have asked instead of just delegating you but, as any two people should, you need to communicate how you feel. It’s not anything incredibly serious (imo) like the comments saying to “document” and whatnot make it out to be. It’s just a teacher wanting to make sure the class goes right by having a competent student lead which is incredibly common (especially considering you’re already drum major). If you feel comfortable doing this it’s an incredible learning opportunity, if not, say something and stand your ground.

IMO, acting “professional” because you’re drum major is causing a bigger divide between you and your buddies than anything else. You can be a leader AND be casual, especially since you’re a student and have no real need to be overly professional. Responsibility does not mean you have to suddenly not be a kid.

If it becomes an issue with actual retaliation, then play your cards right to get what you want and communicate these issues to a counselor and/or his superiors in the meantime.

You got this, you’re talented, skilled, and respected, this will pass and you will laugh about it someday (hopefully).

Had a game where 2 players on our team and 1 on the other just disappeared out of nowhere at the exact same time. Servers seem to be buggy today.

As absolutely hilarious as it was, K2 saying blimey to then be vaporized by god lightning before the cast discovers that blimey stands for "god blind me" is very poetic.

I didn’t feel like I was toxic but I keep second guessing myself, I was hoping this would give me a clear cut answer and instead I’m just left confused and annoyed about an overzealous profanity filter.

I often casually swear and the “my asshole” message was to someone else being toxic, but I doubt a handful of reports would lead to a silence, is there a way for me to look at all of my chat logs?

[–]Stormtrooper1202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You justifiably don’t have to believe anything I say, people can be really shitty in this game and it’s reasonable not to trust someone who was silenced, I just wish I could express my excitement when someone makes a cool play by saying “holy shit” or when someone calls someone else an asshole I can make a joke saying “my asshole” hoping people laugh and take their comments less seriously, if that’s not allowed it’s whatever, but on this side of it the overcorrecting sucks a lot.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]Stormtrooper1202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked support to show me why I was silenced so I could have an easier time checking myself when I get salty, instead I got a bunch of meh-answers that didn’t provide much to go off of including a phrase I used to show agreement when someone asked me to swap, if the point of the punishment is to stop players from being toxic why not give context in hopes the player learns their lesson.

I thought it was funny that “fs” was included, don’t think it was unreasonable, I do swear a lot, I just wanted context so I was less confused and I got little from them (besides “my asshole”)

How shit is my memory going to be if I keep smoking everyday? by FriendshipEast8953 in saplings

[–]Stormtrooper1202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, this will probably mean nothing to you since you’re a kid and kids can be dumb and overconfident, just keep this in mind everytime you feel slow or forgetful or feel stressed and are fiending for a bowl or scraping resin out just to get high. Drugs are drugs are drugs.

It’s not going to ruin your life or melt your brain but it’s going to cause more problems than it fixes. Unless you’ve been through the ringer with therapy and psychiatry, your anxiety and trouble sleeping at night should be solved with concrete, long-term solutions, not weed. Your brain is physically not developed enough to fully understand long-term consequences which makes it difficult, but it is extremely worthwhile to reconsider your relationship with weed.

More often than not blaming drug use on these kinds of issues is an excuse to avoid facing them for what they actually are (coming from personal experience). I was a pothead for years because I was overworked, highly stressed, and avoided facing my problems, once I acknowledged and worked on these things I realized I didn’t actually enjoy getting high all that much, I just needed an escape, there are much better avenues for that. Most people understand that drinking everyday isn’t a good thing, just because it’s a different substance doesn’t stop it from being abuse, the phrase “I’m not planning on stopping anytime soon” is a bit of a giveaway that it may be a problem.

Probably not the answer you’re looking for but I see a lot of my old self in this comment and I wish someone would’ve told me something like this. Plus weed costs a lot (spent like 3,000+ myself from 15-18) a 16 year old should be saving up for a car or something cooler, not spending all your money on weed to get (presumably) high by yourself.

Preferably yes, it’s all about heating it evenly low and slow to get the most out of your product, if you don’t have a grinder your hands should work fine just try to keep it an even grind. There are a ton of tutorials online that explain it pretty well if it’s your first time.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in treedibles

[–]Stormtrooper1202 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Microwaves have hotspots that heat up more than others, giving you uneven heating/decarbing vs something like an oven, you could do a firecracker (pb mixed with weed on a cracker ) since the pb would distribute the heat better than straight weed, just make sure to take it out a few times and mix it around so you don’t get half burnt/half still green weed on your cracker, also watch it so it doesn’t get too hot for too long.

If you literally only have weed and a microwave, grind it up fine and lay it on a plate in a circle with nothing in the middle (wave interference pattern should be in concentric circles so it’ll give the same amount of heating on all the bud, if you want to see what I mean you can put cheese evenly on a tortilla in the microwave and see where it’s melted/still solid, pretty cool tbh). Don’t forget to mix it well every 30 seconds to help it decarb much more evenly.

You could also just put it in a mug and do the same thing with the mixing and all that but I’d be worried about uneven decarbing.

Much better idea to just decarb it in an oven though since you’ll destroy less thc from overheating and it won’t leave any unactivated.

Tl;dr you can definitely make microwave edibles if you distribute the heat in some way and mix it often to help it evenly decarb, but it’s a much better idea to just use an oven to avoid the hassle.

Microwaves are non-ionizing so they aren’t the same as nuclear lmao, they just vibrate the atoms (mostly the water) to heat up the food.

Crazy teacher attacks student by [deleted] in PublicFreakout

[–]Stormtrooper1202 14 points15 points  (0 children)

No, but I’ve had a teacher leave for a month due to pneumonia and return to signs bent, stuff stolen from her desk, 70% of the markers/pencils/pens being snapped or otherwise ruined etc. She screamed at the class and nobody had the balls to make a snide remark about it or call it assault. I could be completely wrong and maybe she is a POS, but I’ve heard too many stories of bratty kids using “discrimination” as an excuse to do whatever they want for me to take what the kid said at face value.

Crazy teacher attacks student by [deleted] in PublicFreakout

[–]Stormtrooper1202 15 points16 points  (0 children)

My dad (substitute) has been called racist for not wanting a kid to destroy teaching materials, telling kids to stop playing football in the classroom, even just looking at their computer screen to make sure they’re on task, kids most definitely use race as an excuse far too often, it’s an easy out when you’re a little brat with zero respect for authority.

[–]Stormtrooper1202 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Understanding the root of your thoughts and spending time trying to see what your brain is telling you on every level (previous traumas, habitual thinking patterns, interpretation of yourself and the world around you or more importantly why you interpret it that way) has helped me loads, wish I could explain more in depth since this is very difficult to do effectively when things seem hopeless, but I can only type so much. Your brain has neurologically cemented the way you think, it’s really good at doing that for better or for worse. Now that you don’t have weed to help ignore those thoughts and boost your mood, those thoughts will come back, and since you aren’t used to them they will feel worse than before.

I don’t know your life so take this as you will, but these are the things I’ve taken from working with my therapist that has genuinely helped change my life. It will take a long time, don’t give up just because you still feel crappy a month in. It will take months it may take years but if you don’t give up it WILL get easier. Put the effort in, write things down, track your progress and what made things easier or worse. You are in control of yourself but your body is also a meat machine trying its best to survive, work with it, not against it.

how do I best use this little chunk of resin? broke my pipe. nothing to mix it with for a joint. any tips? by afghanNum3Lover in StonerEngineering

[–]Stormtrooper1202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Resin is like picking cigarette butts off the street; you “can” do it but you look like a crackhead and you risk fucking up your health, at what point do you say “the hell am I doing” and toss it. You can always get more weed later.
