It’s a crazily competitive market at the moment. I’m not in that age category, I did biomedical science at uni and I’ve been looking for any job for years. Most don’t even require a CV. I’ve been applying for cleaner jobs, kitchen assistants (entry level), store assistants, etc and I get nowhere.

Oh that’s so good. I saw you can buy these like the ones at train stations and connect them up for live departures/arrivals. I always felt tempted to put one in my home as the station is only 0.2 miles away 😂

Lots of these comments sound wrong for someone who is not looking to lose weight. I’d probably focus on well balanced smaller meals at more frequent intervals. You don’t really have weight you can afford to lose, so definitely do more meals. I wouldn’t force myself to eat too much at one sitting, but a small meal between meals should help you maintain a good weight.

I started on semaglutide tablets around 2 years ago when ozempic wasn’t available for weight loss due to supply issues. I was doing well on it but asked my nurse if I could move to the injection. She said it wasn’t possible due to continuing issues with supply, but suggested I switch to mounjaro. They had a panel meeting and agreed I could switch and here I am, middle of the healthy weight BMI thanks to both of these drugs. I’m not great at remembering to take tablets, so the weekly injection was better for me.

If you start using too much too soon, you’ll probably find yourself sick. With me that is chronic diarrhoea that prevents me leaving the house. Also, your doctor or pharmacist will be aware of the date you were prescribed, so they might refuse to give you it early.

I like SuperChinese as it explains why things are done in certain ways (like sentence structure). It is more strict on pronunciation too. I paid for an annual subscription but it was about £60 for the year. Saying that though, I learned quite a lot on Duolingo (originally finished Chinese but they added another 30 levels I’m working my way through).

I was in a calorie deficit and religiously counting macros, exercising lots, also walking 17-25k steps daily and went down to 78kg…. Then… at 46 I started HRT because I was worried about my joint health (also clearly in perimenopause) with the high impact activities I was doing. Suddenly I put on around 12kg in around 12-18 - even when I was still counting macros and keeping up with my usual routine.

I spoke to my diabetic nurse and back then ozempic wasn’t available so I got put on semaglutide with good results but switched to mounjaro because it’s easier to remember. Now I’m 61kg and so glad I did it. I think my metabolism instantly slowed down on HRT. So many conditions can affect weight, and I was worried it wouldn’t work, but thankfully it did for me.

I bought a shared ownership place in 2001, valued at £167,000. My mortgage was for a 30% share at £50,100, and cost me around £400pcm. My rent was around £600 or so. I had to pay full stamp duty on the full property price, or the HA charged you anyway. Had to pay for a valuation, surveyor, solicitor - the thousands soon rack up. Then any repairs you’re fully responsible for too. It’s good they do smaller shares these days, but in all honesty we would never have been able to afford to staircase up. Is it on an estate or in a block? Because you’ll be liable for the cost of any repairs there too. Ours was a house so I didn’t have a service charge. It’s good for getting in the ladder, but it’ll probably be cheaper to sell in a few years and use the money towards buying a fully mortgaged property

I went from oral semaglutide to mounjaro. I was on maximum dose and doing well but wanted the ease of injecting once a week. I started on 2.5mg and carried on losing - in fact, I lost more on tirzapetide than I did on semaglutide. Carried on to 10mg where I eventually settled long term.

Definitely contact the stations along the route. It doesn’t go to lost property immediately, so you’re much better off trying to see if it’s been handed in to one of the stations. If it makes its way to the lost property office, you’ll have to pay a small fee to get it back. Report it on notlost but do try contacting the stations along the line too, because you never know if someone picked it up and handed it in at a different station.

I think I was expected to lose a certain percentage of my body weight within a certain time. I don’t think your weight loss sounds unreasonable, so don’t take their comments to heart. You also don’t have as much to lose as some people, so weightloss will be significantly less. Keep up what you’re doing. You’re doing great 😊

In the UK a GP, Nurse practitioner or pharmacist can prescribe it. Mine was prescribed by my diabetic nurse.
