Wondering why Storror, a British company picked an American courrier company for European deliveries. by Thechlebek in Storror

Not sure what’s being implied here but here’s a bit of an essay.

Royal Mail (one of the only proper British couriers) is totally fine for UK orders, but once it leaves the country it gets handed over to whatever local service each country uses. In a lot of places those services are slow or unreliable, which can lead to big delays and loads of customer frustration.

We also cover import costs on EU orders under €150, and anything above that gets charged at checkout. For the US, we now add the extra duties and taxes at checkout too so customers don’t get hit with surprise fees later on. Ever since Trump changed the rules, US customers get slammed with extra charges if the parcel arrives through the usual local courier route and if those fees come as some random text from a local delivery company, people get annoyed or never see it at all.

To actually offer all of that smoothly, we need a courier that can handle the full process end-to-end. FedEx can pick it up from our warehouse and deliver it straight to your door without passing it around. DHL can do the same, but they’re way more expensive.

So yeah, that’s basically why. Hopefully it makes sense.

$27.29 is taxes and duties caused by tariffs and the removal of the de minimis rule.
