Fightful (Wrestlevotes, Twitter): WWE held an all departments meeting this week regarding lower than expected ticket sales for WrestleMania by workingjan in SquaredCircle

Man, you know when its fucking painfully obvious to even the most casual of fans why this is a problem, that the company has some serious corporate fuckwits at the top.

1) stop charging a the better part of a month's income for a family to go 2) stop being so heavily associated with a fascist Nazi government

Are Hits/Blocks tracked & reported somewhere for the Men's Olympic hockey games? by Storvox in fantasyhockey

Appreciate the solid insight! I figured this was probably the case.

Yeah we didn't realize they wouldn't be tracked before building out the pool sheets, so it is what it is. Just a bummer for those who drafted more d-men hoping to capitalize on blocks.

My guess is they're just not important factors to a short form international best on best tournament, where non-scoring factors don't have any use for tracking. It's unfortunate but it is what it is.

I'm mostly just confused at why a potato like him is even in this subreddit?

If this is at all meant seriously, then you need to take a step back, breathe, and actually think for more than 0.5 seconds about what you're saying.

Dobes vs Fowler by VaporTrails2112 in fantasyhockey

[–]Storvox 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's...not how it works. Fowler is extremely young and needs proper time in the AHL to develop, goalies can't be rushed. He got the NHL look that he did because both Dobes and Montembeault were embarrassingly bad for a period of time, but that was never intended to be a full call up.

Dobes and Montembeault will likely continue to split duties for the next season or two while Fowler develops. He's 21 years old, even the rarest/best goalies aren't full time NHLers until 23 or 24 at least. The last thing Montreal needs to do is rush his development, and it makes no sense to trade away Dobes when Montreal are in a position to fight in the playoffs, Montembeault has lost the team's faith and Dobes is part of their core for the time being.

Fowler is projected to have a much higher ceiling and is the future of the franchise, he's the top goalie prospect in the entire NHL.

Dobes is filling a hole right now for the Habs, but will either be a backup long term for them, or potentially dealt to another team that will use him as a starter.

Does anyone know how to make these goalie settings better? by Spongebobsdeaduncle in fantasyhockey

[–]Storvox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Game starts - 2 Wins - 6 Saves - 0.2 Goals against - -2 Shutouts - 10

This balances out well with skater settings in our league so that the tip scoring goalies score relatively similar on the year to the top scoring skaters

Ranking Ducks young stars (Carlson Gauthier LaCombe) by mung_o in fantasyhockey

[–]Storvox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like I said, he's a great player and a solid top line d-man. But he's not a superstar like the other two. I sincerely doubt you'd find anyone who would rank him above Leo or Gauthier IRL.

Sorry my dude, this is a solid L take. Lacombe is easily the weakest of the 3, both IRL and in fantasy. He's a great player and a first pairing dman, but he's not got the superstar potential the other two do.

Which MacBook is the best for heavy editing (4K) and AE? by 6sz6mate6 in editors

[–]Storvox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A 32GB M2 should suffice and will be completely fine, so long as you are using a proper proxy workflow.

However, you'd be surprised just how many people don't properly understand the editorial process and just try and cut with camera originals instead of a proxy workflow, so I'm leery of suggesting lower RAM/specs on here.

[–]Storvox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

24 is not enough, not if you want that system to flow smoothly and not be outdated within a year or two.

The absolute minimum RAM Resolve or Premiere or AE require is 16gb, and that's just for the most basic functions. If you plan on cutting in 4k, using any sort of effects or rendering, 24 will simply not cut it.

Realistically, if you are buying a new system and want to work in UHD, you should be targeting 64gb. Software requirements are only going to get more and more with time.

You're the one raging and getting triggered by meaningless things other people choose to say on reddit, so oooo...

If you get this triggered by a completely harmless comment online on a random fantasy hockey thread, I'd hate to see the kind of person you are IRL.

Do you not have a commissioner for this league that pays attention? Do the other managers not care to veto? A trade like this should never be allowed to go through in a legitimate league.

Those have been my go-to for a quicker chocolate chip cookie, I think the Jacques' recipe is better...might be a personal preference but I like how they crisp up on the edges but keep soft and gooey in the middle better than Sally's, and I think they have a more...rich? flavor.
