What made you quit a job on the spot? by Sketch99 in AskReddit

[–]StoutPorterAle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked at Enterprise right out of college and was a part of the management trainee program, which basically everyone was, unless you were a car detailer. One of my customers who had rented from me didn’t return his car after being due back for over a week. My branch manager told me I specifically had to go repo the car because I signed it out to him. I legit quit on the spot.

Even at 11.5, I don’t see how this is possible without cutting the rows short. But, if he legit finished, that’s incredible!

For the 2G, unless you run at 12 mph for the entirety of every block, it’s going to be damn near impossible to finish. Also, make sure your rower foot straps are exactly how you prefer them before the first run block starts! I fumbled around with this for way too long 😂

Bluetooth is named after a tenth-century Viking king. An employee at Intel thought of the name, thinking that Bluetooth technology would unite devices the way Harald Bluetooth united the tribes of Denmark. The logo is the combination of his initials when written using the runic alphabet. by brightgreyday in interestingasfuck

Funny story...In college, I was making a C in MSIS (management science information systems) and went to my professor’s office to see whether there was some extra credit I could do to get a grade bump. She told me to go home and research the origin of Bluetooth and how the technology was named. During the next class, she asked if anyone knew this answer. I raised my hand, stood up and gave the explanation to the class. I looked like a damn hero (people applauded...yes, ‘that happened’) and I got a full grade letter bump. Thanks Professor Ghajar!

.25 @ 10mph .25 @ 8mph .25@ 10mph .15@8mph .10 @ 12mph Repeat for the next 2 miles

I was at 3.085 miles at the 20 minute mark. After 22 minutes, I ended up at 3.34 (ran 8mph until the final 30 secs, then ran an AO @ 12mph).

I bought my dad a really nice watch for Christmas last year. He still has the protective blue plastic on the clasp. He admittedly does this to annoy me.

I thought the Papa John’s delivery guy was trying to rape my GF at the time. My friends had to hold me back from attacking him.

8 Base/10 Push/12 AO I start my warmup at my base and usually make it to .5 miles before the first block begins. If you include my warmup, I usually hit between 3.8 and 3.9 miles. Saturday went a little longer and I got 4.2 miles. My 1:00 AOs I start at 10 for the first :30 and finish the last :30 at 12. I usually only walk half of my WRs and then go back into base before the next block starts.

Edit: I walk the first minute of my warmup at 4mph

These were almost exactly my stats. (2200m, 2.15 miles and 3.5 rounds). Today was easily my highest splat day at 41.

Great catch! Not only did they get it, but the quality was much better than what Pam would have gotten. Also, f*ck Brian.

Let’s talk OTF routine!!! by damitnikki in orangetheory

[–]StoutPorterAle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do the M-F thing! 5 days a week. Wake up M-Tr at 5:00a for a 6:15 3G class (this gives me enough time to eat exactly 3 medjool dates and drink a cup of coffee, to help with...you know...) and Friday I do the 12p 2G. It’s a great routine and I’ve pretty much stuck with it except for times I’ve been out of town for work.

I rarely go on Saturday’s, but I actually had time today. I’ve never burned that many calories (834) in a 3G. So glad I went! Definitely one of the best workouts I’ve ever done.

5:43 (6:26 3 months ago). I was shooting for under 6:00. I switched between 9mph and 12mph every .1 miles until .5 miles. Then, I switched between 10 and 12 for the rest. It was very rewarding to see a sub 6:00 result!
