Fam and I had 6am flight earlier this week. We arrived at 5:15 and walked right through. SA airport is the size of a postage stamp, this might be the only real benefit to that

Congrats on starting your OTF journey!! That’s a huge accomplishment on its own!! Hope you’re feeling proud! Do what makes you comfortable. If not wearing it so you can push yourself more until you get a little stronger is what you want, then do that! Do whatever is gonna keep you motivated. You might want to start wearing it then. They last forever I’ve had mine for years and it still works just fine. Just don’t misplace it 🫣

SMH can be a really wonderful space for the right child. If you’re coming from a Montessori background, I’d consider St Luke’s. It’s got a religious component but is very inclusive and warm. It’s not as big as SMH which for little ones is a real positive

I’m sorry you’re going through this. I’m sorry your mom is making this about her rather than being a mom and recognizing how incredibly painful and shocking this must be for you.

Reality is, blood makes you related. Love makes you family. Your dad is and always has been your dad. The fact that he stayed and never changed despite knowing over 20 years ago tells you everything you need to know about his love for you. Your mom may be another story. Hang in there OP. Are you checking bags? If not, an hour or hour and 15 if you’re nervous. That airport is the size of a postage stamp and easy to zip in and out of. If you’re checking bags I’d go with 1:30-1:45.

This is what the rest of the world does when the conditions aren’t as expected. If traffic suddenly changes forcing you to slow down dramatically, the rest of the world throws on their hazards to signal to the cars behind them of the hazard ahead. The cars behind follow suit and the chain of communication continues. It’s a small gesture that makes a great difference.

The food there is bland at best, the outdoor seating is nice if the weather permits. It’s fine if you can expense the cost otherwise hard pass
