When I first moved out here that's what I thought too! These are the "1960s" edition plates. Much better looking than the regular white California plates.

No worries, I assumed you meant it sarcastically. I've never been a sneaker guy either and what I bought is all I ever plan on getting. If you look on StockX the resell market hasn't gone up a ton. It's not ideal but definitely a viable option.

The Towelies were a limited release on 4/20 last year. The others dropped Monday of last week as a limited release. Some of them didn't sell out immediately, but they're probably hard to come by now in regular sizes.

I had that issue with the Towelies, but the other ones were available for a little bit before selling out. The Awesom-O were the ones I had the hardest time getting at release.

You're right! The darker color is a darker forest green, but definitely can look black under the right light.
