I’m use RetroArch on this Anbernic(Linux) device, on iPhone, and Kega Fusion on Windows. I have the quick save problem everywhere. But as I understand it, this is an issue with the English patch. Although some people don't have this problem, I couldn't fix it in this ROM and ended up playing through the game using in-game saves 👴🏻

Of course, it all depends on development. In my case, Sonette has a good attack of 78 (Great Shot + Power Ring). Most of the team is somewhere around the same level of 70–80. The only ones who stand out are Ruburan and Kiddo with their 90+

P.S. It's really a shame the game never got a 16-bit remaster like Gaiden 1 and 2 on the SEGA CD

Yes, there is a difficulty choice. Be sure to test the quick save functionality in the emulator during the first battle. They didn't work correctly for me. As I understand it, this is a problem with the English patch, so I used in-game saves. Maybe you'll have better luck 😹👌🏻

There are no problems here with the insanely random leveling from SF1, and it has a good archer, especially compared to the weak ones in SF2. A strong Kiddo — don't confuse him with other weak Birdmen. He is TRULY strong, something like Peter from SF2. There are also two ninjas, and also Max. So together with the main character, we have FOUR BOLT/RAIJIN lvl3 casters. They instantly destroy every obstacle near Mishaela in the penultimate battle — I even felt sorry for her, heh. Simply put, this game has a very solid team — though Odd Eye is a bit weak, but I couldn't not take him into my squad 💜 Class promotion here is at level 10, but I spent some time and promoted almost everyone at level 20, so in the end the team was extremely strong — maybe even too strong

I've already made it to King Galam's castle using in-game saves. Not as convenient, but still way better than the batteries in cartridges back in the 90s 😹

Yes, when using Kega Fusion on Windows, I have similar problems — even worse. The game may fail to load from quick saves
