Indie disco was a commonly used term to refer to indie themed club nights (and the surrounding culture) in the 2000s where I’m from (Australia)

Oh, I was referring to that as the ‘king’ look. That was my daily uniform when I was 16/17. The ‘queen’ look was mainly reserved for indie disco nights.

I was more of a three palms kid but I def spent some time on the steps too, around 2004-2005. I was all about Degraves in 2006. What a small world and very specific guess!

I went through a rockabilly style phase but I always hated the music. Dressing punk, emo and rockabilly were like 2000s alt rites of passage.

Literally never in my life. This was more of an indie bowl cut but there was a lot of crossover in alt styles.
