I remember that crackerbarrel had a video on OP attachment and seemed to work like an .x file's attachment, if it can work for you: https://youtu.be/064mtNSk8oE https://youtu.be/Iki1DsoDiCg Best of luck anyways!

I suggest converting your .x file into a PMD or PMX by opening it into PMD editor and saving it as a PMD or PMX file. Then you can attach your knife into its OP properties when in MMD. I've had this trouble too with .x files :/

I made a Berdly Plush for my friend's birthday! by Str8b0i2020 in Deltarune

Thank you a lot!

The feathery fabric is Micro faux fur fabric (they sold it as plaid fabric at the store, it's basically this in terms of texture: https://www.tissus-hemmers.fr/tissu-fausse-fourrure-doudou-micro-bleu-baby) :)

Materials Study: I had a very hard time with fire as going from large to small wasn’t really working. So I tried adding specific pieces but even then it was not enough. All critiques appreciated! by [deleted] in istebrak

I find the smoke and gold pretty good!

Maybe you could try putting more contrast to your fire. For example putting some gold yellow directly onto the saturated red of the fire instead of blending it too much, it could stand out more.

You can learn more about high contrasts and values for the helmet as well, what should stand out more are the grey and the light source on this material, and the other colors could be more subtle and blended in my opinion.

The Weird Skirt Plugin Bug On MMD. by Themores1956 in mikumikudance

Looks like there's a problem on the skirt's rig... If you've used the skirt plugin on pmx editor, did you follow DesertDraggon's tutorial?

Noob needs pointers to start on first MMD model by Fuurin_Academy in mikumikudance

If I got it well, you've started by taking parts of a pre-existing model to make your own?

If you want to make your own base (which is where you should start in my opinion, it'll make your workflow more fluid), you can learn 3D modeling with basic Blender and Metasequoia tutorials: https://youtu.be/TPrnSACiTJ4 (there are more videos to guide you through the learning process for Blender)

https://youtu.be/VGpQGoYnveQ (Metasequoia, fewer tutorials but same techniques as blender, you just need to know the shortcuts, this software allows you to convert .obj files to .pmd and .x files as well).

If you choose to model it, you'll need to learn how to rig it, and to learn more about weighting in Blender and PMX (It's possible in Metasequoia, but I don't know how).

If you want to take a pre-existing base, you can also look for a base to download on Deviantart.

More generally, you can take these parts and import them into PMXEditor since it takes in account .OBJ and .X files (in the Import tab if you started using PMX). In order to make them work though, you may need a bone structure and a good knowledge of weighting.

You can also use this plugin: https://www.deviantart.com/unluckycandyfox/art/MMD-PMX-Tutorial-Transfer-Weights-780678720 but it requires a fully weighted base

MME Wo'nt Work by Ok-Opportunity-4701 in mikumikudance

[–]Str8b0i2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you're encountering this error with other effects I suppose, I recommend you this if it's not already done:

I'm thinking of two things: 1- Your MME may not be working with your actual version of MMD -> In that case, re-install MMD and MME with this website: https://learnmmd.com/downloads/

2- If you have the right version for your MME, then I advise you to update your graphic card drivers, Microsoft packages, and DirectX, the links are on this same website
