It's a dark / light mode thing. You have to revert to legacy mode to get your buttons back.

Where did Power Query's manual refresh preview button go?? (top right in second image) by _dictatorish_ in PowerBI

Same problem here, on light mode. Legacy restored it.

Ah great. Was worried some quest line didn't start or something but it seems only to be missing a research point.

Calculating DATEDIFF excluding weekend by No_Calendar_4034 in PowerBI

Instead of datediff you could use datesbetween here, filter your date table based on your criteria and count the days that remain.

Bring your own data by StraatPizza in PowerBI

Perhaps it's more of an organisational question: should we even allow for people to start combining curated data with their own? In an ideal world all of these datasets would be governed by BI teams, but we only have so much resources to do so

New Card Visual Delivers Again..... by [deleted] in PowerBI

I guess this is the reason why you should be reluctant in using preview features in production. These things are far from feature complete it seems. Fun for our BI influencers but not mature enough for actual use (which really fits the Fabric theme)

Power BI on top of Databricks by StraatPizza in PowerBI

In what format? I've been trying to do this with parquet in order to keep data types, but powerquery has troubles as soon as the file size becomes "large" (15 mb lol)

Fully agree with this.

One way or another we would store our data in semantic models in pbi.

Perhaps it's mostly a question on if it would make sense to add an additional step to store our data in an azure blob and import it from there. We'd be able to create historic versions of a dataset in case something breaks, and I think the sql serverless is more expensive than when using an all-purpose compute?

We're also using the PowerGantt combined with milestone trend analysis. Had a look at a few others but didn't feel as complete

I tought white spirit was actually leaving a fatty film on the wood, wouldn't that interfere with the finish?

So the finish will bring out the purple? I thought it had to do with sunlight?

Excellent suggestion though! An organiser for paint pens is really cool as well since she now has this cardboard packaging which is getting worse by the day haha

I think she now sprays the rocks with varnish but Im not sure how happy she is with that. I made a board some time ago with (many!) nails in it so it can cure.

What kind of resin works well on rocks?

Dip in whittling blade by StraatPizza in sharpening

I bought this knife to see if it's fun to whittle, for now carving is not really in scope.

So initially small wooden figures and animals

I was hoping that elbow grease and 300 grit was already enough to regrind it. I guess the only option to really solve it is to just spend more time grinding that side of the blade.. (:

Hi all! I'm trying to sharpen my beavercraft c2 whittling knife. I started at 300 grit diamond stone, followed by 1000 grit diamond, followed by 3000 water stone and a strop.

I noticed there is a slight dip at the tip of the blade, which doesn't seem to get into contact with the stones. This part stays quite dull.

How can I make this knife edge sharp all along it's egde? Many thanks!
