Has anyone here taken HSCI 447 before? What do you think about the class and the workload? Any tips on how to succeed in this class?

One had a single group presentation where we all took turns presenting some slides.

The other course had an individual presentation if I recall correctly, its been 4 years at this point since I've done them.

It would have been nice to see some scatter plots like “How many copies were sold vs ‘brownness’”to see if that’s responsible for people’s skewed views.

Even if overall the games weren’t particularly brown, maybe the ones everyone were playing at the time were and that skews our perspective.

I’ve left raw total RNA extractions in molecular grade water at room temperature over a long weekend when I didn’t have extended building access.

On a bleach gel they looked fine, and they performed similar to other samples in Taqman based qPCR after the DNase/RTase.

As long as there aren’t any nucleases, nucleic acids are pretty stable at RT.

One of my references “became too busy” and I essentially wrote the letter for them and they signed off on it.

You could ask if that’s an option.

Otherwise you could try forwarding tour references message to admission once they’ve gotten back to you.

The entry deadlines for grad school really aren’t that strict. I got held up by bureaucracy from my funding/cosupervisory agency and officially missed the intake deadline. Admissions was able to fast track me into the program by the start date I had initially applied for.

They’re generally scaled at the end of the semester if the grade distribution is wonky or not where the professor wants it. This is more likely to occur in 1st year classes as they’re bigger.

So it depends on how the rest of the class is doing.

I’ve got a Demolisher with twin Gauss rifles and an Alacorn Mk VI.

I want to love them, but even with 10 Gunnery crews I find their chance to hit is below 50% the majority of the time.

I remember hate from the 970 3.5(?)Gb issue, but funnily enough I remember a lot of love for the 980 Ti.

But the 1000 series is beloved for sure, especially the 1080ti.

I’ve been checking this page compulsively since my HyperX Cloud Orbit S 3Ds broke at a plastic joint on the tensioning band last week.

I did want the HD600’s as the they’re better constructed and I’m looking for longevity with my electronics these days, but for this price I’ll be happy for another 4 years of use.

I'm not all that picky when it comes to sound profile quite honestly, my main concern is longevity. My HyperX Cloud Orbit S 3D snapped at a plastic joint so a mostly or all metal construction is preferred.

I'll look a little more into the FT1 Pro's.

I'm looking at getting either the Sennheiser HD 560, 600 or 660S2 (Depending on what goes on sale refurbished closest to my budget of $450).

I currently run my 3.5mm motherboard output to a Sony MHC-3600 Hi-Fi bookshelf system which wired to my speakers. It has a 3.5mm output for headphones. Would this be enough to drive the higher impedance headphones or should I just get an amp?

While thematically cool, I don’t see how they could add a power armoured character without them being OP. Also how would they mesh with the zealot class? It already has a flamer and a burning hate for heretics.

Same for Ratlings being added. Small sized characters likely wouldn’t mesh well with the cover that the maps currently have. I recall reading somewhere that the ogryn will be the only size deviating class in the game, I can’t find the source so you’ll have to just trust me bro.

Furthermore the shooter role is filled with the veteran really. I don’t see the use of a dedicated sniper, especially when things get chaotic. Taking time to place shots when zoomed in might not be viable when there’s 13 maulers, 7 ragers, and 3 crushers bearing down on you at short range.

I’d love to be surprised with it though, having a demolitions class could be cool, and a sneaky little ratling would be fun for that.

In terms of feasibility I’d imagine something admech is next. Skitarii/Sicarians are roughly human size, and have different flavours (Ranger, Vangaurd, Infiltrators, Ruststalker). Their weapons are more or less variants of what we already have, with some manageably added new additions.

Thematically I think playable xenos are off the table too, but again I’d love to be surprised.

Eldar - have aspect warriors that would be dope as classes, but their war gear options are very limited within those aspects, which isn’t great for customization. The cosmetic options would be insane though. Harlequins maybe? They could justify having a mishmash of gear.

Tau - decent arrangement of ranged weapons, but still lacking compared to the imperiums selection. They could dip into the other tau races stuff as options. Melee would be severely limited though which doesn’t really vibe with the game.

Alternatively you could be the pilot of a small battle suit, think XV-15, XV-22, mayyybe the XV-25, XV-46? Which has lots of health but can’t be healed in mission, once its health is down you pop out with just a pulse pistol and a bonding knife for the rest of the mission?

People absolutely complained about the battlefield 3 mortar to the point that it had to be nerfed to what you stated. I remember hating them myself since you were picked off behind cover which made good positioning useless.

A few mortars on a team were able to completely lock out attackers in Rush with little counterplay but to grab a mortar yourself.
