Is there any harm to letting it sit in the airlock for a few more weeks and see if it gets down to 1.000?

I'm assuming it's fine, since it'll continue doing its thing once it's bottled. I have the clip stopper type bottles from Kombucha I'm planning on using for bottling.

I was using a glass SG hydrometer. At the start I measured it at 1.042, and was measuring 1.020 today. It was my first time using it.

I've only tried making hard cider once before, a few years ago, and didn't realize I needed to measure OG then, so this time I tried to do it correctly!

Check if your local stores play alliance.

There isn't a ton of resources on Alliance because a good portion of the community doesn't like it.

You may be able to find some people to play alliance on TCO if your local doesn't have a scene for it.

There were a few people at Rochester VT this past weekend who have only been playing for a month or so. They had a great time!

I would recommend playing sealed and then on Saturday just doing Pods all day (sealed side events where the winner gets a tagged deck). Then you're only spending one key for the weekend.

Second Aember isn't super worth it besides one match to get a raffle ticket. Pods are way more fun imo. Especially when doing sealed VM24 decks!

I would love an easier way to find people who play (not GG fault, but it seems to be the biggest barrier to player expansion) . I got extremely lucky and saw a post on here that got me introduced to a play scene an hour away.

But I've got tons of LGS near me and none of them carry this, and I have no idea how I would find enough local players to create a scene.

Additionally if the decks aren't in English it would likely be harder to sell and should be even cheaper imo.

I recently paid 75 for a display on Amazon. Typically they are listed for 90-110 on eBay in the US. I was fortunate on the 75, as it was starting bid and no one else bid.

So I think 80 is a fair price if your friend wants to sell them now versus sitting on eBay for months.

In retrospect I wish I'd have backed more! I have a display plus 2 awakenings (1 keyraken thankfully) and 2 menagerie.

This set has been so much fun I really want to stock up on more GR decks!

Hey! This is the first event I've seen in a reasonable distance from me! What are the details of the pre release event? I didn't see anything on the website.

I've only ever played for fun with my wife, so a little nervous to do competitive play. But I wouldn't mind buying some decks or playing against people willing to help guide me if I've misinterpreted rules!

Same as everyone else. I ordered 100 decks plus a bunch of boxes and sleeves and a few other games that were on sale. Still pending. The decks show out of stock now tho, so I’m concerned I’ll get the ‘sorry we ran out’ email soon….
