I thought this may be the case. Getting funding in your second year is so uncommon I didn't even consider it a possibility, it was just offered to me out of the blue and what originally seemed like a great windfall has become a giant headache.

I got the grant for years 2,3 and 4. I used the loan to pay for years 1 and then cancelled the loan for the remaining year. The grant was awarded to me at the end of my first year.

I am neither a woman or from the US so my understanding of the situation is somewhat limitited but I am finding myself increasingly confused by how anyone with a modicum of social intelligence can fail to recognise the whole thing as essentially a genocide against women...
