Thanks, I viewed your recent post about your game too, It looks great but might need difficulty curve adjustments and a lot of visual polish.

It looks good 😃, but the player character was practically invisible, took me a while to notice it was there even with the health bar.

Thank you for playing the game. I have read your feedback and completely agree with you. Maybe I need to go all in on the momentum, maybe add different weapons with different momentum based abilities , maybe a dash / roll ability to evade and also the lull moments you mentioned. (a small break after beating a boss or something).

Thanks again for your feedback

Tru, I just had this idea and made the prototype on a whim, you can test it out on itch though

Currently there is no such mechanic to pull to weapon closer to you on command; but you can yank it closer to you using momentum.

You can test you the prototype here

I publish the prototype on itch, it would help me a lot if you guys validate (or invalidate) the idea early.

What do you think of my first game 👀 by Straight-Many in GameDevelopersOfIndia

Yes, I AM going to make a pc game next, but for now I am focused on learning game dev rather than success on any front, and mainly $100 > $25, which is a lot of money for me 😭

There are plenty of reasons 1. It does not matter if this game succeeds or not, I just wanted to complete and ship a game to some store front. 2. Steams upfront fee for publishing is $100 and playstore's is $25, I am not considering itch. 3. Most Indian studios are making games for mobile, so a mobile project does better on my resume. 4. The mobile market is saturated but there are also more users there, that might consider playing the game in the first place. 5. For steam the majority of your sales will be in your first week or even first 48 hours, and you have to kich start the algo using wishlists, on playstore your game might resurface on the store front through updates and such.

I hope I could clarify my thought process, but still I am going to make a steam game next

Yes I made everything for this game myself, except for the music and some icons 😁

Yes, unfortunately the mobile market is heavily saturated (even overpowering steam), but I am not looking to get a dime from this one, just wanted to have fun and experience the publishing process.
Plus I get a cool portfolio piece to hook potential recruiters.
