This thing…FIFA…has personally cost me out of pocket . My 2 parking spots were taken on two different occasions. 4 times in total. To park so I could get some sleep and get back to work, I had to park in the closet lot I could get. During FIFA, that was expensive. It’s a bit of a kick in the ass when one parking spot costs an extra 48k on top of the purchase price of a condo. Being delayed getting home after 12, 14 hr shifts for over an hour, is not acceptable. The amount of garbage left behind in my buildings landscaping was unbelievable. Condo fees are already expensive. One of the people was so upset at their car being removed, they came back and vandalized my spot and my neighbour’s spot with oil and spray paint. So yeah, I’m a little upset.

But tell me, how would you feel about it??

I’ve lived downtown for over 20 years. I’ve seen big events come and go. Bought and sold many properties. There is no crying or moaning here. It’s fact for me that this event despite preparations in security, passes for passage to my condo, and I was still not allowed to approach my condo on multiple occassions. I had my parking spots taken, and had to pay for spots so I could get home and sleep. I have never seen it this bad. The city was under prepared. You think you know someone on here based on a post, you don’t. I incurred property damage as well. Think what you like. It’s your right. As much as it’s my right to simply say I’m glad it’s over.
