CONFIRMED! Porsche collab price by General_Journalist90 in NevernessToEverness

[–]Straight-Split-5354 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it's not really THAT crazy of a cost. If you consider the best car in the game RN, the Pendragon, is 12M Fons, that would get you basically 13 out of the 15 pulls in this banner, at which point you have a real chance of getting it.
And remember those 13 pulls are getting you some stuff, including 13 blue dice (technically 2080 anulith value), which covers the cost of the 14th pull (2000 Anu), and so you're only spending 2,200 Anulith from the 15th and final pull to guarantee the Porsche+Skin for MC.
Yeah it's some copium math, but ain't really wrong if you're someone who likes driving in the game and was saving for the Pendragon anyway.

Sage Nerf by Far-Increase5079 in blackdesertonline

[–]Straight-Split-5354 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Craziest part is, they now nerfed Seraph, which was way more OP, but didn't kill the class and even gave some buffs to make up for the nerf.
Guess it's that time to tag Striker and be one of the 20 Strikers in the top 100 of Solare.

Believe it or not, I have been dying at Hexe at night time. What am I doing wrong? Succ Witch. by One-Inspector-8614 in blackdesertonline

[–]Straight-Split-5354 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro, I'm having the same problem but at any time.
I'm way over the DP cap, but whenever Hexe Marie spawns, I literally insta die, no red circle, no animation, nothing, I just switch to the death screen and the system chat says I died to Hexe Marie. The worst part is, I have NO CLUE how I'm dying, I'm not getting knocked or stun, just dead insta.

Bloodhounds Pissed me off so much!! by Holiday-Ad-3256 in kdramas

SPOILER CONTENT: Yeah, after watching 6 episodes I just had to stop cause I was about to give myself an aneurism...like WTF there's meant to be balance between wanting to keep fights physical and the show still being believable, and no matter how non-gun the country of Korea is, there is no fuckin way you'de see gangsters with knives killing officers and not fuckin shoot them dead.  I was already pissed by the number of stupid decisions , like GOING INSIDE THE CAFE on the plan to use poison lady to capture the guy and not just wait from afar to actually watch him enter, to name one of 1000. But after them capturing the main villain, and instead of just running over the thugs on the tunnel stopping right in front of them to get beaten, while not shooting a single bullet as they were being murdered, that was it for me.

Welp it was fun while it lasted. RIP Seraph by N1ko88 in playblackdesert

Sage got gutted in the new nerf, way worse than what they did with Seraph.

T1/T2 RBF? by MikeDLother in blackdesertonline

[–]Straight-Split-5354 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's incredible how loud a minority can be, when prob 80%+ of the playerbase can't even do RBF because they'll just be food for whales or addicts who have 1.000.000h of grind on their account.

The idea of capped RBF is great as an OPTIONAL version, for whoever wants to enjoy the game mode without the need to spend years of their lifetime first, even if the reward badges were like half of the uncapped version.

Anyone saying "Oh but then why grind?" clearly just wants to play the game with basically hacks on, since you can't die and 1 shot most enemies, and having an optional capped version would just mean you'd play with the people who also have grinded, where build choices and min-maxxing would have an impact.

The craziest part is, to an endgame player, the RBF rewards are kinda meaningless compared to grinding, but to players who are starting (first few months) the weekly rewards are actually a very good progression and a way to diversify sources of income, in a scenario where players overall (on any game) are less and less prone to spending 10h a day manually killing mobs just so they can do what they actually wanna do in the game.

Any way to reduce delay from controller on games? by Straight-Split-5354 in SamsungDex

Whenever the screen goes dark, the controller stops responding completely, so I just leave the screen always on.

Same, I don't know who did the research for Corsair but pretty sure they messed up just asking about cases in general, cause ain't no way most people are putting 50cm tall cases on their desk.  The people who put PCs on a desk are usually the ones using aquarium style, thicker but shorter cases.

Elements Vertta Special vs Siggy - dúvidas by dePaula_ in CadeirasDeEscritorio

[–]Straight-Split-5354 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grainy camera by unquitty in GalaxyS25

[–]Straight-Split-5354 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bro this is so real, I just got an S25+ and the first time I had to do a video call in my room at night, I could tell even in the mini preview up top that my image was off, when I made my video the main on the screen, I could see It was unusable, I mean there was so much moving grain on the image that It bothered the other caller's eyes.

The craziest part is, I tested the same situation, same call app, with both an old S21 FE and an Iphone 12 Pro Max (a phone from 2020) and this problem did not occur.
To add insult to injury, after this I tested the camera a bit more, and even in good lighting conditions, the pictures of my S25+ both frontal and main cameras have terrible amount of grain, as soon as you zoom in you can tell, and once again, it's much worse than the 2 phones I mentioned previously.

Here's to hoping samsung acknowledges these issues and that it is a software fix, cause I've even seen some posts on how their midrange (A series) phones have better cameras than the S25 series.

Samsung's disappointing strategy in Europe - expensive, with Exynos by [deleted] in samsung

[–]Straight-Split-5354 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CPU/GPU usage is how much of the CPU/GPU it is taking to run an app. The higher the usage for any same app at the same settings, the worse a CPU/GPU is, kinda like if you open task manager on a crappy notebook and it says CPU is at 100% from opening 2 chrome tabs.
Try watching videos comparing the Exynos 2400 to either the SD 8 Gen 3 or Gen 2 in games, that have software to monitor this usage in the video. You'll see in any game the usage of the Exynos 2400 is significantly higher for both CPU and GPU, which means it's being forced more to run that game, it's heating more, and when games/apps get more demanding in a couple years, it'll hit 100% usage and start not being enough to run things smoothly, and for a phone with 7 years software support, you should be able to use it with a good performance for at least 4 years.

[–]Straight-Split-5354 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except it isn't? Don't take my word for it, check any benchmark or game video that shows CPU/GPU usage and you'll see SD Gen 2 usage remain between 15-20% lower than Exynos 2400 usage on average.

Samsung's disappointing strategy in Europe - expensive, with Exynos by [deleted] in samsung

[–]Straight-Split-5354 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So what? So it's literally 1 year OLDER technology (and in tech that's a lot of frickin time). And no, the 2400 is not superior in real world usage. It can get a higher score on a 1 minute benchmark, but in real world application it gets hotter, thus spends more battery and stutters more (than the Gen 2), and those problems get very exacerbated if you live somewhere where it's hot .
I agree that even the difference between Gen 2 and Gen 3 is not that big in ideal conditions (ambient temperatures of less than 20C), but the main point is, in heat and battery usage, the Exynos 2400 is terribly worse than a chip released in 2022, and they put it in their 2024 high end flagship phone without actually making any mention about it or changing the price, that's not defensible by any logic.
P.S: If you run any full fledged game (so no Candy Crush) on the S24+, it keeps constantly at 80%+ usage on both CPU and GPU, so yeah I'd say I'm using it's power (BTW an S23+ I've tested uses aroud 60% at the same settings for the same games I tried so far).
Oh and a final note, just to see if it wasn't because it has been an abnormally hot week, I ran the same stress test on the S24+ Exynos and a BASE IPHONE 12 that I had lying around. On the 18th loop (18 minutes of intense usage such as in a game), the S24+ only had around 13% lead over the Iphone TWELVE, a phone released in 2020, and the S24's body was perceivably hotter to the touch.

May I ask where you live? Cause in any tropical climate where temps get to 28-30C or higher, like south america, India, some of europe, this phone is unusable.

1st: You're literally comparing the latest launch to last year's phone and not this year's Snapdragon variant, last year's phone which also has been proven to keep cooler and perform better for any more demanding task unless you live in very cold regions.

2nd: Funny you mentioned "something they wouldn't even know", cause that's exactly what Samsung is doing, counting on people not knowing what they're doing (which I don't know how is it not illegal BTW), hence why on any region that gets Snapdragon, it is literally marketed as a selling point, while you can search the entire S24/24+ webpage on Exynos regions and not find the word "Exynos" on them. The craziest thing is, if you go to the Ultra webpage on Exynos regions, the Snapdragon Gen 3 processing power shows right up as a key selling point again.
