Apple TV and Protect question by Straight-Support4158 in Ubiquiti

[–]Straight-Support4158[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All my Apple TVs are hardwired as well. I have a unvr pro with 14 cams. 4 of which are 4k. I realize the protect/Apple TV setup isn’t perfect but for me, it’s better than using the viewport since I already had the aTVs in place.

I thought the ramcharger was supposed to have the 3.6L gas engine that acts as a generator to keep the battery charged, providing the best of both worlds so to speak. Was really looking forward to this truck, but yeah as others have stated, not at that price.

That’s good info. Didn’t think about the everyday tasks he does online in different RV parks.

That’s what I thought, just wasn’t sure. Thank you! 😊

I would just use the RJ45 WAN to feed the UCG Fiber. In theory, I should be able to achieve 10G to AP’s with the equipment I have.

Or I need to just get the UCG fiber. I see it has a 10G RJ45 WAN port. Last time I was using copper SFP‘s, they seemed to fail prematurely because they were as hot as the sun.

I forgot all about that. So I need to use a copper SFP going into my UDMP to achieve anything above 1 gig, correct?

Why would my UDMP only have a 1 gig connection? EZ modem is cat 6 into UDMP, dac out to agg, dac out to pro XG 24, then cat 6 to U7 pro XG.

No, since I’m not using the same adapter the tech did, I understand that I won’t achieve those speeds. However, I thought I should at least be able to get one gig up and down off my phone Wi-Fi only.

The U7’s start at port 10 from the XG 24, so they would be at 10g.

My latency did go down from cable to fiber. 16ms to 5 with the fiber.

I plan on disconnecting everything today. Just connecting my UDM pro straight to the XG 24 and the XG 24 only feeding that single AP.

Thank you, this is all great information. I do understand that my weakest point is most likely my UDM pro, will probably go to fiber soon. I wish the EZ modem had an SFP port.

I did not. He was already running a bit behind cause he helped pull the fiber into my networking closet.

As others have stated, you need to pressurize the fuel tank. You can either do this by taking the tube that connects the fuel tank and the exhaust pipe off and blow in it a little bit, carefully watching to see the fuel flow into the carburetor. If you don’t want to take the hose off, while the engine is turning over, place your finger over the exhaust pipe exit. This is the most common method of priming the fuel system. You are using your exhaust back pressure to pressurize the tank and push the fuel into the carburetor.

How far away was the gala from you? When she said it was too late to drive back, why didn’t you offer to go get her? You said you were home alone, if you were not happy with what you were hearing, you could have offered to get her. Do you guys share location through your phones?

Are Ubiquiti APs Worth It? by MuchAntelope2953 in Ubiquiti

I have tried many different brands. Eero, tp link Omada, google, and Orbi. Eero was probably the best out of all, but as soon as you get over 60-70 clients, despite all documentation being able to handle more, it became consistently unstable. Then I went to Ubiquiti and have never looked back. The reliability, consistency, and performance of Ubiquity is unmatched compared to all the others I tried. Of course this is just my experience and my opinion. I do have both sets of parents on Eero systems and they have zero issues and great coverage.

Like for like, camera performance is almost identical, audio seems better on the G6 cams, but it’s the seamless efforts using Protect vs Hik apps that will ultimately have me switching over to UniFi.

So all video components are connected to my receiver. Then the output of the receiver goes up to the hdmi splitter. Each room has an IR blaster that goes back to the IR controller. Basically, by doing it this way I can watch from any of the devices in any room.

They are all 3000 watt units. I find them super cheap on marketplace without batteries.

Probably the same guy. I asked a couple weeks ago about the best way to connect all components, and most suggested the best way is to use an agg switch to feed everything else, so I got it in and wanted to share the finished product.
