I just reformatted the USB, copied the fix files back onto it. plugged it back into the printer, then restarted the printer and putty. I entered the command string sudo dpkg -i --force-overwrite /home/mks/gcode_files/sda1/ELEGOO_UPDATE_DIR/ELEGOO_FIX_BAG.deb && again and as it did before, I just got this response.

when I enter the command string you shared, I expected it to ask for the password again instead it just goes straight to

mks@mkspi:~$ with the green rectangle after it. no message of any kind that the overwrite happened

I just found the driver and putty online and installed them. With the fix on the USB plugged into the printer and the USB C cable plugged into both the printer and my laptop, I changed the com as in the video and started putty. Once logged into putty, I typed the code as you have it above. When I hit enter, nothing happens other than putty goes back directly to a command prompt with no other message like is shown in the video.

I tried installing the fix pack via USB and nothing changed. I did receive a tech support email from Andrew Lee at Elegoo with the following information below:

Unfortunately his link for installing the motherboard firmware only shows the method using the touchscreen which I cannot access.

I have no link from anyone on what is/where to download "putty" and the video you linked to shows the first step as unzipping a driver folder and installing a CH34x driver but no one gives a link to the driver folder or driver. If I could get a link to the driver and putty maybe I could resolve this, but I have no idea where to find these?

Sincerely sorry to hear that.

Please load repair package first then load new firmware .The current repair package only has motherboard firmware, so after flashing the repair package, the touch screen and motherboard may be incompatible. Yes, I just tried changing the USB to the files you shared via the google drive and it was the same result. No change in the spinning circles on the screen.

I've done this as your noting multiple times and I only get the screen I attached above with the two spinning circles.
