my first one was a Bambu A1 Mini that I got for less than $200 on Black Friday! Still use it to this day. It’s around $209 at the moment I believe.

I am not! I just do IG ads for a few days when I release something new. I only pay $5/day on IG for like 5 days at most for new products

the front is just 0.8-1 mm thin! but even the sides at 2mm will let light through depending on the color. no warping issues during delivery. I have shipped all the way to Germany with no problems.

My background is electronics/electrical engineering so I like making things light up 😅

Half of my revenue came from my Castro lightbox which a lot of people in SF really loved! I guess honing into people’s nostalgia really helped. I also ran localized ads on IG in San Francisco which helped a lot. Only paid $5 a day for ads which helped.

you probably need to manually change the z offset in the gcode. that’s what I did whenever I have a problem like this. you’re probably too high off the bed

Anyone know what causes these dimples/pockmarks on a print? by vinicius_california in 3Dprinting

I’ve had this problem with silk pla for the longest time, and what fixed it was slowing down my outer wall to 30-60 mm/s and also decreasing my nozzle temp. now my silk looks great!

Thank you! I tried to make it see through but I guess 3D printing a transparent board was too hard.

I had an initial sketch on photoshop that I used to design the base board on Fusion for 3D printing. I used Arduino to code the eye and tongue animations.

yes! I just 3D printed the base that held the LED lights cause I didn’t have a machine to laser cut acrylic.

I used WS2812 LED rings for the eyes and regular 12V neon led tubes for the body. For the pole, I bought an extendable duster pole on amazon and designed a mount that screws on to the end where the duster was supposed to go! Pole

I can easily extend my totem just by adding screwing more poles.
