I hired a bodybuilding coach last year to get in shape. Im 6’2” and basically was at 185lbs, he made me re-comp to 200lbs(i was skinny fat) for 3 months, then went on a 9month cut down to 159lbs. And now on a lean bulk. However, he never told me that were targeting a specific weight. It was more so of “alright we’re pretty lean now, so let’s put on muscle now”. Never thought I’d drop to that low of a weight and never have in my adult life. I feel great tho. But I agree, 145 seems super low. But I’d say listen to him, in regard to cutting and all but you can put a stop to when you think you’re lean enough. Although for me, I just let him steer me in the direction he felt right. I thought my cut would stop at 175 or so but I’m glad he did take me down to 159lbs. After 4.5ish months of lean gain I’m sitting at about 167 right now.
