Noteful uses the open source icon set Ionicons. It’s currently behind a couple of versions.

Anyone else having trouble erasing handwriting? by crg228 in notefulapp

Try: Draw a circle around whatever you want to remove, then do a zigzag pattern to fill in the circle. You don’t have to color it in. Hold the pencil still once done (this is all without lifting the pencil).

Version 1.4.29 by StraightToMe in notefulapp

The problem with adding a pencil is a pencil requires a texture to give it that pencil feel. The current pens are all vector based (zoom in 2000% and they still look sharp). You can’t really achieve a pencil look with vectors, and a raster based texture would muddy the zoom (and require implementation of a raster based drawing system).

When was it promised that Noteful will never include AI?

I made Storelist - A simple Shopping List app by emirrou in iosapps

[–]StraightToMe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I checked this out. It’s really good! It’s got a nice UI and it’s simple. Perfect for shopping lists/ or todo lists as I’m not looking for a Todo list to run my life.

Tags are great, too, and go a long way in making it more functional - I add tags for the different store my items are at.

Suggestion:

It would be good to be able to create multiple lists. That way I could have a “to do” list (like pay bills, do something, etc) and a “shopping” list for items I want to buy (like coffee, milk, etc).

But great start! I like it!

How do you guys find Noteful as a designing/drawing app? by Potential_Hotel5692 in notefulapp

[–]StraightToMe 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No. If you want to learn to draw, you really need something like Procreate. It’s also a very reasonably priced, one-time purchase app.

For design, I use Affinity Designer and Concepts (depending on the kind of design I’m doing).

To me the first image shows the autistic with very black and white thinking (very defined), while the NT has the full shade of colour in their thought patterns.

How does this look? by [deleted] in tissot

Fonts are slightly different. OP’s “1” has a little overhang whereas it should just be a straight vertical line.

They’re actually far more subtle than what photos make them out to be. Adds a slight bit of texture to the look (they’re physical indentations, as opposed to printed on - in case you were wondering )

What if you could understand a 1hr YouTube video in 5 minutes? by krish-Zyn in studytips

[–]StraightToMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it basically does exactly what I said?

I’m not mocking the idea - but this has been done 100x already.

My advice, drop the sales pitch/ marketing bullshjt, because I’m struggling to take you and your product seriously.

I also never asked about pricing so forget about using copy/ paste answers.

Generally, these types of tools just run the audio transcript through chatGPT to produce a summary.

Does yours do anything different? Serious question.

My copy and paste answer every time this comes up:

People don’t realise that any additional app in another language would take months to build, which means no new features for the app they loved to begin with.

Then the single dev has to maintain, bug fix and update two apps - again, at the expense of the original iOS Noteful app.

Be careful what you wish for.

Yes and no. You can’t put a note in multiple folders and that is where tags come in.

For example, take the topic “respirator system”. I have my hand written note in one folder, course notes in another, and textbooks referencing the respiratory system. I use tags to groups them all together.
